Boker Magnum Damascus Duke folding knife

Folding knife equipped with a blade over 6 centimeters long with a Clip-Point profile. The blade is made of Damascus steel. The knife is opened using a nail notch, and the Back Lock provides safety during use. The finish includes wooden handle scales and steel bolsters.

Damascus steel

The knife blade is made from 37-layer Damascus steel, obtained by repeatedly forging and folding layers of steel, giving the blade the characteristic Damascus pattern and elegant appearance. The blade maintains sharpness well and is highly resistant to dulling during daily use. Damascus steel also provides good impact resistance and favorable cutting properties while remaining relatively easy to sharpen.

Clip-point blade with decorative finish

The knife is equipped with a blade with a Clip-Point profile, 62 mm long and 2 mm thick. The blade is ground with a flat grind, ensuring good cutting properties and precision work. The blade surface is finished in a decorative Damascus style, highlighting the multi-layered structure of the steel. The cutting edge is smooth, allowing for precise cuts and facilitating daily use.

contoured wooden handle

The handle scales are made from burl wood type root wood, distinguished by its striking natural grain and elegant appearance. The material provides a pleasant grip and complements the decorative character of the knife. The ergonomically contoured handle fits well in the hand, and steel bolsters increase the rigidity of the construction and enhance the aesthetic qualities. The knife is also equipped with a lanyard hole.

Back Lock, nail notch

The knife features a classic Back Lock, effectively securing the blade from accidental closure during work. The mechanism is characterized by a simple, durable construction and convenient operation. The blade is manually opened using a nail notch.

Damascus steel is a composite material created by combining multiple layers of different types of steel with varying properties. Repeated forging and welding creates a structure with high strength, flexibility, and hardness. Layers with a higher carbon content are responsible for the sharpness and durability of the edges, while nickel alloy steel increases corrosion resistance and provides a contrasting pattern. After etching the surface, a unique, wavy pattern characteristic of each piece is revealed. Thanks to its combination of functional and aesthetic properties, Damascus steel is used in premium knives, bladed weapons, and collector's knives.
