I took it for trips and I don't regret it, because I've already been caught by the rain a few times and the backpack stayed dry the whole time. It goes on quickly, you don't have to struggle with it, holds well, and doesn't slip off while walking. The material also doesn't look delicate, nothing is wearing out so far.
