Portable telescope featuring a Makusutov optical tube system with a 102 mm aperture and a 1325 mm focal length. The StarBright XLT anti-reflective coating minimizes light loss, ensuring precise observational performance. The power supply relies on 8 AA batteries housed in the mount head or a 12 V power source (not included).
Models from the Celestron SE lineup utilize compact catadioptric optical tubes paired with lightweight, single-arm azimuth mounts, all incorporating the GoTo system. This system offers automated celestial object tracking—ideal for targeting faint or challenging observation objects. For quickly aligning with bright objects, the RedDot finder ensures straightforward positioning in the night sky.
The mount is operated via the NexStar controller, equipped with a database exceeding 40,000 objects, with nine available slewing speeds. Proper operation requires manual alignment to up to three reference stars, enabling the search for both databased celestial bodies and user-defined targets. The mount can interface with a computer for operation through widely-used astronomy software; an RS232-USB adapter is additionally required.
An optional SCT adapter (not included) lets users attach a camera. There is also compatibility for the Star Sense automatic alignment module and the Celestron SkySync GPS receiver. For wireless operation, the SkyQ Link module enables control via WiFi.
