Civivi Yonder Clip-Point Stonewashed 14C28N Folding Knife - Wood
A folding knife with a Clip-Point blade measuring 73.1 mm in length, made of corrosion-resistant 14C28N stainless steel. It features a Crossbar Lock and handle scales crafted from high-quality guibourtia wood. The handle is complemented by brass bolsters finished using the Stonewash method.
Zac Whitmore is responsible for the design of the Yonder model. The knife is suitable for a wide range of activities, from everyday carry (EDC) to light outdoor work. The use of damage-resistant materials, a refined design, and precise craftsmanship ensure the tool’s high durability.
hardened 14C28N stainless steel, satin finish
The blade is made from top-grade 14C28N stainless steel, hardened to 58-60 HRC. The chemical composition of the steel has been optimized to achieve high hardness. The carbon content enhances its cutting properties, while the chromium provides excellent rust and oxidation resistance.
The blade is finished using a satin method. This process involves mechanically working the blade’s surface to produce parallel micro-scratches that give it a distinctive matte appearance. This finish reduces the visibility of fine scratches caused during use and also minimizes light reflections on the blade.
clip-point blade, flat grind, jimping
This model uses a Clip-Point blade profile, a smooth cutting edge, and a length of 73.1 mm. The blade features a flat grind. Jimping is added on the spine to provide a secure thumb rest and enhance blade control during cutting tasks.
Balanced blade design delivers improved knife control. The weight is evenly distributed between blade and handle, which results in greater cutting precision and reduces hand fatigue during extended use.
wooden handle scales, brass elements
The knife features an ergonomically shaped handle made from guibourtia (bubinga) wood, complemented by brass bolsters. The material is characterized by its high density and resistance to damage, as well as moisture and temperature changes. The wood surface stands out with a slightly rough, natural texture, which improves grip security and gives the knife its unique look.
The brass elements are finished using the Stonewash technique. This method involves tumbling the material in a drum with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impacts create a distinctive, irregular pattern of micro-scratches, resulting in a matte, slightly "aged" effect.
thumb stud, crossbar lock
The knife can be opened using a double-sided thumb stud, allowing for convenient one-handed deployment of the blade. The opening mechanism has been refined with a ceramic ball bearing system. The model is equipped with an easy-to-use Crossbar Lock.
spring clip
Comfortable carry is provided by a spring clip made from durable stainless steel. The design allows you to attach the clip on either the right or left side, in the tip-up position. The construction ensures the knife stays securely in your pocket or on your gear, minimizing movement as you go.
