The Counter Point folding knife draws inspiration from the Counter Tac fixed-blade series. Featuring a serrated blade with a distinctive Spear-Point shape and a false edge along the spine, it is crafted from Japanese AUS-10A stainless steel. Constructed from Japanese AUS-10A steel, the blade guarantees outstanding durability along with superior resistance to both wear and corrosion. After the hardening process, it reaches a hardness level of 58-61 HRC. Elevated levels of carbon and chromium provide the steel with excellent edge retention as well as a high standard of corrosion resistance. A false edge along the blade’s spine enhances piercing performance. The entire cutting edge is equipped with serrations, making it highly effective for slicing through ropes, seat belts, and other challenging materials.
Spear-Point blade, satin finish
Featuring a Spear-Point blade profile, the knife offers a length of 152 mm and a thickness of 4 mm. AUS-10 is a high-quality stainless steel produced by the Japanese company Aichi Steel, considered one of the best in the AUS steel series, used mainly in mid-range and high-end utility knives, produced mainly in Japan and Taiwan. The carbon content (0.95-1.1%) ensures high hardness, while chromium (13-14.5%) guarantees very good corrosion and abrasion resistance. The steel also contains manganese (up to 1%), silicon (up to 1%), phosphorus (up to 0.025%), and sulfur (up to 0.025%), which affect hardenability, impact strength, elasticity, and machinability, improving structural stability and maintaining mechanical properties. After hardening, the steel achieves a hardness of 58-61 HRC, offering an excellent balance between strength, edge retention, and ease of sharpening. It is comparable to 440C steel, differing in carbon content and the addition of vanadium, which improves structural homogeneity and increases abrasion resistance.
Tri-Ad Lock
Tri-Ad Lock is a lock developed by Cold Steel and Andrew Demko, considered one of the strongest systems in folding knives. Photos don't do justice to the size of this knife. For a folding knife, it's really big and also surprisingly light. It's difficult to unlock for folding, but it will probably loosen up over time, although this might also be an advantage. There's no way to unlock it accidentally while using it.

This big beast really makes an impression. Excellent cutting properties and very good steel. The long blade works great in the kitchen—you don't have to struggle when dividing large pieces of meat or slicing a big loaf of bread.

A solid, strong knife that cuts excellently. If someone is looking for a knife that performs well in tough conditions, this is the Counter Point XL. For me, it's a revelation. It's indispensable in the forest or at camp. It also doesn't take up much space in the pocket—I can still fit my wallet. Every day, the knife pleasantly surprises me with its capabilities.
