Cold Steel FGX Push Blade II Knife

FGX Series features a distinctive collection of Cold Steel knives crafted through injection molding using robust Grivory material. Designed as an accurate reproduction, the model mirrors the Cold Steel Safe Maker II push dagger.

Grivory blade

Blades measure 57 mm in length and are crafted from Grivory material—a composite akin to the renowned Zytel, featuring micro-glass fibers embedded in a nylon matrix. Equipped with a sharp point and precision-cutting edges, the blade surfaces are designed for additional sharpening when needed.

Kray-Ex handle

All FGX knife handles are crafted from textured elastomer Kray-Ex, providing a secure and comfortable grip. Such construction delivers a lightweight knife highly resistant to environmental influences, electrically non-conductive, and, once the steel ring/hanger is removed from the handle's back, entirely non-magnetic.

Kray-Ex
Kray-Ex is a synthetic polymer with a rubber-like structure used by Cold Steel to manufacture knife handles. It is characterized by high adhesion and anti-slip properties, ensuring a secure grip even in high humidity, low temperatures, and with dirty hands. The material is flexible and absorbs shocks well, which increases comfort of use. Kray-Ex is also resistant to cracking, abrasion, chemicals, and adverse weather conditions, making handles made of this material durable and virtually maintenance-free. Cold Steel uses it in tactical, survival, and utility knives.
Grivory feature
Grivory
Grivory is a modern glass fiber reinforced polyamide used in knife handles. It is characterized by high resistance to impact, abrasion, and chemicals, as well as stability in temperature fluctuations and contact with moisture. It retains its dimensional stability even with intensive use, making it a practical solution for EDC knives and outdoor models. Grivory handles are sturdy, lightweight, and comfortable to use, making the material popular among manufacturers who value reliability and modernity.

A smaller version of the push dagger. Very interesting design. The knife is made of solid material that is very durable and, most importantly, very sharp. The edge can be sharpened further. I think it would fulfill its purpose if needed. After removing the ring, it contains no metal parts. I recommend it.
