Cold Steel Frontier Bowie 1085 High Carbon Fixed Blade Knife
A large, durable knife whose design is inspired by the classic American knives popularized in the early 19th century by Jim Bowie. The knife is balanced so that most of its weight is on the blade side, making it an excellent tool for chopping. This model is ideal for survival and bushcraft expeditions, for preparing meals in the field, or for setting up camp.
Bowie blade profile, 1085 High Carbon tool steel
The Bowie-style blade measures 304.8 mm in length and is 6.35 mm thick. It is made of 1085 high-carbon tool steel, which is resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage. The blade is coated with a black protective coating that protects it from corrosion.
Rosewood handle
The black scales of the ergonomically contoured handle are made of rosewood and are secured to the tang with steel screws. On the blade side, the handle ends with a solid, S-shaped cross guard that prevents the hand from sliding toward the cutting edge, significantly increasing safety when using the tool.
Leather sheath
