A very decent knife at this price. It needed a bit of sharpening after delivery, but as a sharpness enthusiast, I made it razor sharp. I solved the problem of the smooth handle by sticking hockey tape on it, and now the grip is secure.
Military Knife Cold Steel G.I. Tanto 1055
A staple among tactical knives, featuring Full Tang construction built for rugged tasks—ideal for survival, field operations, as well as military and outdoor use. Forged from 1055 spring carbon steel, the blade offers exceptional durability, while the handle utilizes black, impact-resistant polypropylene. Supplied with a Secure-Ex system sheath, the kit enables versatile mounting options for attaching to a belt or gear.
Renowned for its well-balanced build, the model excels in precision throwing, and with the scales removed, it serves effectively as a foundation for crafting a survival spear.
Carbon Steel 1055
Forged from 1055 carbon steel, the knife blade offers excellent resistance to mechanical stress and impact, along with strong crack resistance. With a moderate hardness of approximately 57 HRC, the blade is straightforward to sharpen. Carbon steel, however, calls for consistent maintenance following exposure to moisture.
Tanto blade, black anti-corrosion coating
The blade features a broad Tanto profile, ideal for applications such as penetration, piercing, fine slicing, or prying. With a blade length of 17.8 cm and an approximate blade thickness of 4 mm, it delivers exceptional durability for batoning, chopping, and demanding tasks. A flat grind on the blade provides a smooth cutting edge, making it well-suited for cutting, slicing, camp duties, and precise operations.
A protective coating across the entire blade enhances resistance to corrosion and minimizes light reflection, a significant advantage in tactical scenarios.
Full Tang construction with black handle scales
Engineered for durability, the handle features a Full Tang construction and is fitted with two contoured scales made from black polypropylene, known for its toughness, resistance to damage, and ease of cleaning. These scales are securely fastened to the steel tang with screws. Designed with straightforward lines and practical ergonomics, the handle ensures a secure grip—even when wearing gloves or in wet conditions.
A lanyard or thong can be attached via the hole located at the end of the handle.
Convenient Secure-Ex sheath - multiple mounting options
The set features a sheath equipped with the Secure-Ex system, designed with multiple holes and grommets to support versatile attachment options to belts or tactical gear. Reliable knife retention is provided by a precisely contoured inlet combined with a snap-secured loop.

Made in China but good quality. Nice design, fits well in the hand and looks great. Well-balanced, nice holster, overall I recommend it because it's worth having it with you outdoors. For me, it's worth it.

Cold Steel is a proven brand. And this time I wasn’t disappointed. Well-balanced, solid chunk of steel, decent sheath. Plus, very efficient shipping. All for a reasonable price. Highly recommend.
-
Very solid knife, fits great in the hand and impresses with its durability. Ideal for outdoor and tougher tasks – you can feel it's equipment you can rely on.
-
Nice knife at a really reasonable price, bought during the New Year sale. The knife is large and solid. The order was fulfilled very quickly. I recommend it—in this price range it’s really worth it!
-
In every respect, this is a quality knife. Practically indestructible, ideal for splitting, batoning, throwing, and other activities requiring high mechanical strength. Furthermore, the knife is easy to sharpen; the hollow grind, though it slightly weakens the structure, helps with carving and other precise tasks. I recommend it to others.
-
One of the best knives in this price range and category. Sharpened, thick, extremely durable, with a full-tang construction and a solid blade thickness. I highly recommend it.
-
Let me put it this way: it's not outstanding, but it's a decent knife for the price. It's actually perfect if you don't want to spend a fortune on a fancy knife or worry about ruining it. This one is ideal for beating up in the woods :).
-
I've had this wonderful knife for about 3 years, and it has never let me down—from carving and cooking to breaking open an ice hole in 30 cm thick ice. I recommend it 130%. Regards!
-
Probably the best full tang knife for the price/quality ratio. Sharpened, massive, and if oiled/greased it doesn’t rust at all. I highly recommend it to all military and survival enthusiasts.
-
The knife is good value for money—it's simply a solid piece of metal. Unfortunately, as a camp knife, it has several design flaws that can't be eliminated: the upper guard and the false edge are too thin. Also, the gap between the guard and the blade is too deep and large, making sharpening difficult.
-
I have had this knife for a year. Previously I had experience with knives in the military. I went through quite a few of them. So far this one hasn’t broken, I’ve used it for splitting wood, mainly at campfires. I am a reserve soldier, this knife made an impression on me. Price–quality ratio, what more can I say, for this price so far I can’t break it.

I’ve read different opinions—maybe someone got a knife that didn’t suit them. But I got a good, sharp knife with no 'made in china' marking, and I was throwing it and chopping with it right away. Recommended.
-
The knife looks really nice. Very nice engraving. One downside, during unpacking the country of manufacture stands out. I hope it's only about the place of production, not the quality!

Great knife for the forest as well as 'around the house.' Of course, the black coating comes off after some chopping but it doesn’t matter. You can dig in your garden with it, chop firewood, do camp chores—a real workhorse not afraid of hard jobs, and at an affordable price. Another plus: if the handle isn’t comfortable, it’s easily changeable with just two screws. I found two minuses. A small one: the upper guard makes the knife harder to use but can be removed, and that’s no longer a problem. The bigger minus is the knife's construction: the edge starts far from the handle, so for precision tasks you have to grip it closer to the edge or improvise.
