Cold Steel Mizutori Crane Katana Sword

Sword crafted with inspiration from classic elements of Japanese design, ideal for enthusiasts who value accuracy and superior performance. The name "Mizutori" translates to crane, a revered symbol in Japan representing luck, longevity, loyalty, and strength. The katanas display a signature curved blade, a single sharp edge, and an extended handle, making them suitable for two-handed use.

The Tanto style blade is crafted from 1095 carbon steel. Utilizing clay hardening as part of the forging process, the blade features the distinctive Hamon (wavy temper line). Finished with a Hamaguri grind and hand-sharpened, the blade is fully suited for powerful cutting exercises - Tameshigiri.

The handle features a wrap of same (stingray leather) combined with a traditional brown braid. The tsuba (protective guard) and brass menuki (engraved ornamentation) are adorned with a crane motif, lending the model its distinctive character.

The wooden scabbard (saya) features a high-gloss black finish. Equipped with a cord, it can be securely fastened to your belt for convenient and comfortable sword carry.
