Crosman Mag-Fire Trailhawk 4.5 mm Air Rifle with 3-9x40 scope

A traditional break barrel air rifle featuring a 4.5 mm caliber threaded barrel, equipped with a scope offering adjustable magnification from 3-9x and a 40 mm objective lens. Designed to fire diabolo-type pellets, with a power output not exceeding 17 J.

Nitro Piston Elite gas spring

Equipped with a Nitro Piston Elite gas spring, the Mag-Fire Trailhawk delivers consistent, precise shooting performance, while offering smoother operation and reduced noise compared to models utilizing traditional spring systems.

Integrated sound suppressor, magazine feed

Equipped with a 400 mm long steel barrel, the carbine features an integrated QuietFire sound suppressor for enhanced stealth. Its magazine provides capacity for 12 pellets, greatly boosting both fire rate and operational efficiency. Upon unlatching the barrel, each pellet is automatically chambered for rapid shooting. Utilizing a patented magazine with an ultra-low profile and streamlined construction, the design minimizes the chance of jamming.

Scope included, Picatinny mounting rail

Featuring an 11mm wide mounting rail, the air rifle enables the installation of various optical sights, including the supplied 3-9x40 scope, which comes with a 30/30 crosshair, delivering a field of view of 12-4/100m as well as parallax adjustment via a dedicated ring on the objective lens. Mechanical aiming is facilitated by a fixed front sight along with an adjustable rear sight.

Ambi stock body, adjustable trigger, uncontrolled firing lock

The stock of the carbine is crafted from varnished wood. An Ambi-type cheek pad accommodates both left- and right-handed shooters for enhanced versatility. For added shooting comfort, the stock is fitted with a rubber butt plate. The Mag-Fire Trailhawk features a trigger adjustment system, while a safety positioned within the bail helps prevent accidental discharge.

Militaria.pl is the exclusive distributor of Crosman

Crosman is a brand with more than a century of tradition, which has been providing shooting enthusiasts with reliable air guns and ammunition for years. A turning point in its history was the introduction of the Powerlet CO2 cartridge in 1954 - a 12-gram capsule that revolutionized the market by offering 50% more gas than the 8-gram cartridges previously used. This allowed a much higher number of shots to be fired from a single capsule. Over the years, Crosman expanded its offerings, introducing airsoft replicas, optics and accessories. Today the brand offers a wide range of products that work well for both recreational shooting and professional training.

After using the airgun for about half a year, it broke between the chambers 3 times (I shot 200-250 pellets). The magazine is entirely made of plastic. After these incidents, I’m starting to wonder if I made the right decision by buying it.

The Crosman Mag-Fire Trailhawk 4.5 mm makes a very good impression at first glance thanks to its appearance. The wooden finish, combined with the pronounced shape of the stock and the included 3–9x40 scope, gives the air rifle an elegant and solid character. The ergonomics have also been well thought out – the weapon sits comfortably in the hand and feels secure to use. The cocking process is smooth and quiet. Combined with the scope, it allows for very precise shooting at medium distances. The shot's characteristics are stable and the trigger mechanism works without delay and predictably. The biggest drawback, however, is the magazine: After the first use, serious problems appeared – two magazine chambers were damaged and broke, which practically made further use impossible. User error can be excluded, as the magazine was operated according to the instructions. This is especially disappointing since the rest of the air rifle feels solid and well-made. It seems that the material or construction of the magazine is significantly inferior in quality compared to the rest of the gun. Summary: In terms of appearance and technical parameters, the Crosman Mag-Fire Trailhawk fares very well. It offers good ergonomics and a clear, effective scope. Unfortunately, the weak and failure-prone magazine significantly reduces the overall impression and definitely requires improvement. Those considering buying this model should be aware that this part needs to be upgraded. Given the price of this air rifle, such a defect is unacceptable – for a product in this price segment you can expect greater durability and attention to detail in all components.

I recommend this air rifle. Very powerful and accurate. It also looks great. I bought it in March 2024. So far I have fired about ~700 pellets and I can say it was a good purchase.

Correcting my previous comment: I have seen more videos about Crosman air rifles (although different models, technically they are the same). After loading, I gently shake the magazine to make sure the pellet has play in each chamber (yes, you can feel and hear it). Perhaps I also got better magazines from a complaint. It shoots properly. After firing a pack of pellets, I have no objections. As for accuracy: I recommend checking out and watching videos on tests of various types of pellets, and also paying attention to the brands in a given "ammunition" category. After seeing many such test videos, I found the best one. I recommend air boss domed. I only missed the bullseye because I lost focus at the moment of the shot. Practically zero dispersion. Accuracy at least excellent. Now I know that the scope is not bad. I know now that I am having fun with this and, having the opportunity, I prefer to shoot from it rather than from short air rifles. I'm curious how everything will turn out, but I am optimistic.

I bought it despite unfavorable opinions and I do not regret it. Although I have to agree that the scope is only good for replacement, so you have to be prepared for another expense.

The air rifle itself is ok. Nice appearance, it feels good in your hand. It has quite a kick and rather substantial weight. I bought it as a set with a scope and I'm having trouble calibrating it. It does not hold its aim (distance 20-25m). The magazine is fine due to low hassle (you don't have to load a pellet each time), but in terms of durability, it’s a failure. After using the air rifle for about half a year, the magazine broke between the chambers three times (I shot 200-250 pellets). The magazine is made entirely of plastic. After these incidents, I started to wonder if buying it was a good decision. Two stars for appearance and precision of workmanship. Missing three for a magazine that is problematic in terms of technical reliability.
