Woodland, often referred to as U.S. Woodland or M81, represents a classic camouflage design adopted by the US Armed Forces in the early 1980s, taking inspiration from the earlier ERDL pattern. Serving as the standard camouflage for the US military for more than twenty years, its use persisted until the close of the first decade of the 21st century. Marked by sizable, irregular shapes in green, brown, beige, and black tones, the pattern offers excellent concealment and distorting qualities, particularly effective in forested environments.
