Great vest, very comfortable. Admittedly, it's not one of the cheapest, but it's worth every penny spent. The flat, wide straps are an excellent solution, allowing freedom in positioning the buttplate. Class of its own, impossible to copy.

Direct Action Spitfire Plate Carrier Tactical Vest - PenCott WildWood
Light and durable tactical vest Spitfire Plate Carrier in PenCott WildWood camouflage. Made from laser-cut laminate, very durable 500D Cordura, and softshell. The design of the vest does not restrict movement, and its modularity allows for proper adjustment to the user's needs.
durable 500D Cordura
The Spitfire Plate Carrier model is made from laser-cut laminate, durable and abrasion-resistant 500D Cordura, and softshell. The design of the vest does not restrict movement, and its modularity allows for optimal adjustment to the user's needs.
durable construction, hypalon handles
Thanks to the use of durable and flexible hypalon handles, adjusting the vest is quick and easy. The handles also provide easy medical access in case of the need for first aid and are characterized by resistance to abrasion, tears, and extreme temperatures. The vest's design allows for safe cable routing at the plate pockets and at the Cummerbund. The front flap can be attached directly to the vest or via Chest Rig type buckles (system compatible with Mayflower/Velocity, HSP standards, and others), and the vest can also be used in a configuration without the flap. The interchangeable Cummerbund is equipped with a compartment for side plates. The rear panel is compatible with the Crye Precision AVS system thanks to zippers. Additionally, the vest is equipped with a reinforced evacuation handle.
laser-cut system, velcro panel
The vest's surface is covered with holes made using Laser-Cut technology, compatible with MOLLE accouterment. This allows for any configuration of gear elements - pouches, containers, or pockets. At the chest level, there is a pocket fastened with a zipper and a Velcro panel, which allows the attachment of selected patches or emblems.

PenCott WildWood camouflage
PenCott is an advanced system of modern second-generation digital camouflages, developed by the British company Hyde Definition. Their distinguishing feature is the multi-level structure of the pattern, encompassing micro, meso, and macro patterns.
PenCott WildWood is a camouflage variant specifically designed for operations in dense forests of the temperate zone, especially in environments with lush, multi-level vegetation typical of many European regions. It is an evolution of the GreenZone concept, but with a darker and more saturated color palette, better suited to conditions of shade, moisture, and deep forest understory. The WildWood pattern relies on the characteristic PenCott structure combining a micro pattern with realistic color noise and distinct contrasts, effectively dispersing the silhouette's contours at various distances. Dominated by deep greens, olive tones, and muted browns, it provides effective concealment in varied, shadowy vegetation.

The velcro panel is an area with sewn-on Velcro tape that allows easy attachment of various additional items, such as patches or pockets.
Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.
MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) is a system for attachment of tactical equipment, used for example in backpacks or tactical vests. It provides the possibility of flexible and modular placement of various accessories and pockets, which allows personalization and optimal adjustment of the item to the specific needs of the user. It is widely used by the military, special services and survival and outdoor enthusiasts.
LCS (Laser Cut System) is a new version of the assembly used in the MOLLE system, where instead of traditional tapes, laser-cut holes are used directly in the material. The system is much lighter than standard sewn-on PALS tapes and guarantees better camouflage. The holes are hemmed with thread to prevent fuzzing and ripping, or, as in the case of Cordura, the laser-cut edges are fused.

One of the last elements I was missing to complete the set. Very comfortable and durable. The only downside is the lack of the string for quickly removing the vest. Other than that, great vest, 10/10.
-
The vest is solid, fits very well, the possibility of modification is huge, worth its money.
-
A bit small, it doesn't even cover the belly button or the kidneys, but I guess that's how it's supposed to be. Besides that, it's easy to put on, easy to take off, and very lightweight.

Direct Action means quality workmanship and well-thought-out solutions. Minimalism where it should be. I use it and highly recommend it.

The quality of Direct Action equipment probably doesn't need much introduction. As of today, it's one of the top brands in this price range. The vest is comfortable, and the material on the inside works much better than the popular foam + mesh in terms of thermal comfort. Quick and simple adjustment, ballistic plates sit securely and do not move. I recommend it.
-
Excellent system, solid workmanship, a top-tier vest, first class. I highly recommend it. You have to pay a bit for it, but it's worth it.
