The pole is solid, the folding and unfolding mechanism works very well. It is very durable and resistant to damage. I have been using it for a few months and I am very satisfied.
The 16-inch (41 cm) expandable baton is crafted from hardened steel by ESP, a renowned manufacturer specializing in self-defense equipment.
Ideal for personal protection, the baton serves effectively for delivering strikes, conducting holds, and applying chokes, as well as for breaching barriers or breaking glass in emergency scenarios.
Compact design makes it exceptionally suitable for concealed carry—when collapsed, its length is just 16.5 cm!
ATTENTION!
Only batons made from hardened steel are guaranteed against deformation during regular use.
Segments of the baton are produced from cold-drawn seamless tubes of class CSN 12 060=CK55 - DIN 17200, C55E – EN 10083-1 + A1, manufactured with Cro-Mo 4130 steel. The steel sections are hardened to a range of 40 to 50 HRC and finished with a black nickel-zinc coating that offers exceptional resistance to abrasion.
The handle, boasting a deep anti-slip texture and constructed from a flexible material, allows for a secure grip under all conditions and reduces the risk of being seized by an opponent.
Comes with a functional rotating holster for convenient belt carry. The baton can be transported either folded or fully extended—ready for rapid deployment. The holster also supports adjustable angles, ensuring comfortable positioning for every user.
ESP batons hold international certifications and are deployed by police forces, gendarmerie units, and security organizations throughout Europe and worldwide.

Rating for ease of use The mechanism works as follows: 1. When assembling, we insert the tip of the smaller cylinder into two spring steel blades in the nut -> this determines the force required to shake it apart and the force with which the cylinders wedge on the press fit. 2. The force that holds the cylinders in the open state is only the press fit -> I assume it's the clamping force and maybe friction force acting here -> you can safely unscrew the nut even when the cylinders are open. 3. If you have problems with assembly -> you can slightly bend the cylinders by hand or tap the tip on a parallel surface to imitate bending -> wear rubber/protective gloves -> twist the small cylinder inside the large one as if you wanted to screw it in manually (you need to use force) -> if it releases, do the same with the large cylinder and the handle (you can even use a vise to keep the handle static) -> if it releases, carefully assemble and push the tip all the way in (then the small cylinder locks in the blades).

Above all, the unfolding and folding mechanism works well, extends without jamming. Handy size. It depends on what applications someone needs it for, but for self-defense, this short one is more convenient for me. The set includes a holster, so the whole set is ready to carry.
-
Solid baton, handy, holds firmly even in a wet hand. I recommend it.
-
Handy baton, completely sufficient for, e.g., knocking a knife out of an attacker's hand, but remember any weapon can be taken away from you, so just a baton is not enough. You need to be determined to use it and skilled in baton or unarmed combat too.

It was really good, but after 2 years it broke apart. Maybe I hit too hard ;) Anyway, 2 years for a baton for 139 PLN is a good price.
-
Handy and small baton. Lightning-fast shipping :)
-
Good, durable and strong baton.
-
Tiny baton for concealed carry, the smallest size that still has striking power, anything smaller than 12" is more like a kubotan. ESP makes solid batons and holsters.
-
Solid thing, at the beginning I had some trouble folding it but with calm moves you can manage ;)
-
Durable baton, used in intense training.

This thing is really small. The reach is shorter, but so is the weight, so if you want to carry it in your pocket, this is perfect and it gets the job done. I'm satisfied.

I've had it for a few months, I've trained with it a bit and still think it was a good purchase. I bought a ring with a string for it so the opponent can't take it from my hand, and so it can't be used against me, which could happen in a nervous situation. I recommend it.
