I chose this sleeping bag for trips where low luggage weight is important. Its weight of 1040 g is noticeable, but it doesn’t take up much space in the backpack. Sleeping in it is comfortable, the zipper on the right side is convenient for me, it’s easy to zip up and doesn’t snag if used carefully. As for warmth, it’s a good solution for cooler nights, but won’t work in winter—without a solid mat and additional layers underneath it might feel cold. I will also add that the sleeping bag isn’t very wide—if you have a habit of turning often, it may take some getting used to. Overall, the sleeping bag performs very well in terms of weight and comfort, and it worked well for me during the transitional season.
Fjord Nansen Drammen MID Sapphire 1040 g sleeping bag - left
Durable sleeping bag in Sapphire color, mummy-shaped design ensuring a comfortable body position and free movement during sleep. Made from high-quality Rip-Stop woven polyester, it features a durable outer shell and Eko Loft Hollowfiber insulation.
Temperatures and usage conditions
The Drammen sleeping bag temperatures are defined according to the EN 13537 standard:
- T-max: 23 C – the highest temperature at which a person can sleep without overheating,
- T-comfort: 10 C – the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably all night,
- T-limit: 5 C – the lowest temperature at which a man can sleep without discomfort,
- T-extreme: -9 C – the lowest temperature for survival. Not recommended for regular use.
Poli Rip-Stop, PoliCotton
The outer layer made of Rip-Stop woven polyester effectively protects against abrasions and mechanical damage, while reducing the risk of further tearing. The inner lining made of PoliCotton combines the softness of cotton with the durability of polyester, ensuring pleasant skin contact and good breathability. This combination makes the sleeping bag suitable for both demanding expeditions and relaxed camping. Inside there is a handy pocket for valuables.
Eko Loft Hollowfiber filling
The warmth is retained by synthetic Eko Loft Hollowfiber filling made from spiral twisted, siliconized polyester fibers. Quilting of the outer fabrics holds the insulation in place, ensuring even distribution throughout the bag. The insulation retains its thermal properties even after getting wet, washing, and intensive use. The filling does not cause allergic reactions and is suitable for people allergic to down.
Left-side zipper, Anti-Bite system
The sleeping bag features a two-way zipper on the left side, allowing for full opening and easy entry and exit. The zipper is protected from the inside with a thermal flap. Thanks to the Anti-Bite system, the fabric does not get caught in the zipper.
Integrated hood for cold protection
The built-in hood enhances thermal protection by wrapping the head and preventing heat loss in low temperatures. Its shape also provides additional protection from wind and moisture.
Convenient transport and storage
The model is easy to carry and store. When packed, the sleeping bag measures 40 x 21 cm and weighs only 1040 g, making it easy to transport without significantly adding to the load.
Set components
The sleeping bag comes with a practical cover that protects it during transport and shields it from dirt and damage.

PoliCotton fabric is a blend of polyester and cotton fibers featuring the best qualities of both yarns. Polyester provides strength and flexibility, while cotton provides softness and breathability.
Rip-Stop weave protects the fabric from abrasions and tears. It is characterized by additional threads woven in at regular intervals, forming a mesh-like pattern. It provides high strength to the fabric, increases resistance to mechanical damage, especially tears.
Anti-Bite is a system that prevents material from getting jammed in the zipper, used in outdoor clothing and equipment. It prevents the fabric from blocking the zipper, which increases the durability of the product and improves the comfort of use, especially in outdoor conditions.
Eko Loft Hollowfiber is a synthetic insulation material used in sleeping bags. It consists of spirally twisted, siliconized polyester fibers of various diameters, which form a system of microchannels filled with air. Thanks to this structure, the filling is warm, resilient and easy to compress. It retains its insulating properties even in a humid environment – it does not absorb moisture, and at the same time allows the removal of water vapor produced by the body. This material provides thermal comfort at low temperatures and is also anti-allergenic.

Very solid sleeping bag. At 9-10 degrees it proved itself perfectly in the forest. There are definitely lighter sleeping bags with smaller packed dimensions on the market. However, in this case the price to quality ratio is outstanding.
