Ultralight mummy-style sleeping bag designed for optimal body alignment and unrestricted movement throughout sleep. Constructed from premium nylon, the sleeping bag combines a rugged exterior with a duck down filling for superior insulation.
Temperatures and usage conditions
The operating temperatures of the Svalbard sleeping bag are specified in accordance with EN 13537:
- T-comfort: 2 deg C - the lowest temperature at which a woman can comfortably sleep through the whole night,
- T-limit: -3 deg C - the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep through the night without discomfort,
- T-extreme: -20 deg C - the lowest temperature at which it is possible to survive in the sleeping bag. This is not a value recommended for standard use.
10D Rip-Stop nylon with Water Repellent coating
Constructed with lightweight 10D Rip-Stop nylon featuring a hydrophobic WR coating (Water Repellent) on both the interior and exterior. The fabric treatment reduces moisture ingress. The interior includes a small pocket for accessories, as well as loops for securing an additional liner.
Duck down filling, H-shaped construction
Superior thermal insulation and optimal air circulation are provided by a filling of European duck down and feathers in a 92/8 ratio. With a 800 cuin loft, the down delivers excellent compressibility, enabling the sleeping bag to pack down efficiently. A DuPont hydrophobic coating shields the down from moisture. The H-shaped baffle construction ensures the down remains evenly distributed without shifting or clumping. An additional layer of down in the drawcord footbox increases thermal insulation for the feet.
Right zipper, Anti-Bite system
Equipped with a two-way zipper positioned on the right side, the sleeping bag allows for complete opening from the top, ensuring straightforward access and exit. The fluorescent puller provides usability even in low-light conditions. Integration of the Anti-Bite system effectively shields the fabric from being caught in the zipper. An internal thermal baffle safeguards the zipper, maintaining insulation.
Integrated hood for warmth, DUO drawcord
Enhanced thermal protection is provided by the integrated 3D-shaped hood, which fully surrounds the head to minimize heat loss in cold environments. The contoured design also delivers superior defense against wind and moisture infiltration. Featuring a DUO drawcord that merges both an elastic cord and a tape: the elastic encircling the neck facilitates unrestricted arm movement without the need for adjustment, while the rear tape ensures rapid loosening—making it particularly practical for nighttime use.
