Very good replica of the F-S knife, sharp, well balanced. The blade is quite delicate, but after all, it's a stiletto intended for combat, not a survival knife. The sheath is high quality, stitched with red thread, which adds charm. I am very satisfied with the purchase.
H&T Fairbairn-Sykes Commando Dagger
The Commando Dagger model is a modern take on the third pattern of the legendary blade designed by Lieutenant Colonel William Ewart Fairbairn and Major Eric Anthony Sykes, intended for use by the SAS, OSS, and SOE. Serving in the British Army since 1943, the third pattern features a double-edged blade crafted from 420 stainless steel, renowned for its corrosion resistance and superior impact durability. The blade is further protected by an oxidized coating and is hardened to 54 - 57 HRC. Each knife comes complete with a leather scabbard.
double-edged blade, 420 stainless steel
Forged from 420 stainless steel, the slim double-edged blade offers exceptional resistance to corrosion, chipping, and cracking. The blade undergoes an oxidized coating process and is hardened to 54 - 57 HRC.
aluminium and jimping
The spindle-shaped aluminum handle features a surface completely lined with grooves (jimping), delivering a secure grip even in wet or muddy conditions. Confident handling is also ensured while wearing gloves. The straight, oval-shaped hilt acts as a safeguard, preventing the hand from slipping onto the blade.
leather sheath
The knife comes with a leather scabbard, which features a belt loop for convenient attachment to a belt. Double leather straps allow the scabbard to be stitched or riveted to additional gear. A 20 mm wide rubber strap secures the knife, preventing accidental loss from the scabbard.

Knife bought for the collection, so the usability in this case is secondary to me. The blade shape is correct, the handle is a casting. You can see the seams where the molds joined, and the grooves are not very deep. It comes sharp. The blade gives the impression that it will bend at the first serious contact with something hard. As if this steel lacked elasticity. The sheath is very nice. Made of natural leather, probably the best element of this knife.

The knife is made of a steel that is so soft, the tip of the dagger bends when cutting plastic bottles. I know that for a knife costing 200 PLN I shouldn't expect fireworks, but still I would prefer something that represents a higher level than a Sanrenmu for 50 PLN.

Nice, good quality replica, copy of the third version of the dagger. It could probably be made of another steel, for example N690, but then it would be several times more expensive. I am satisfied.

Slim, sharp, menacing. Almost original, fits perfectly into my small collection.
