Hikvision Hikmicro Falcon FQ50L 2.0 Thermal Imager

Advanced thermal imaging monocular equipped with a 640 × 512 px sensor (12 μm), high thermal sensitivity of NETD < 15 mK, a 50 mm F0.9 lens, and an integrated laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1000 m. The device enables object detection at distances of up to 2600 m and provides magnification ranging from 2.7x to 21.6x (8x), as well as a field of view of 15.4 x 12.2 m at 100 meters, making it suitable for both long-range observation and the identification of objects at medium and close distances.  

The model was designed for professional users who need a fast and precise observation tool. The device is based on the latest Hikmicro technologies and delivers high image quality in a compact form.

The device’s body is made of magnesium alloy, which is resistant to mechanical damage and shocks. Thanks to its compact design and the use of seals, the model meets the IP67 waterproof rating, ensuring complete protection against dust ingress and submersion in water up to a depth of 1 m for 30 minutes. The temperature range in which the thermal imager can be used is from -30 to +55 degrees. The non-slip exterior surface and well-designed button layout allow for easy one-handed operation, even while wearing gloves. The design of the rear focus knob allows for quick and precise image adjustment with one hand.

The model is equipped with a bright 50 mm lens. A high-quality VOx Uncooled Focal Plane Arrays (UFPA) thermal sensor with a resolution of 640 x 512 px and a pixel size of 12 µm ensures precise detail reproduction. Thermal sensitivity at a NETD level of <15 mK allows for the detection of even the slightest temperature differences—even in dense vegetation, low visibility, or adverse weather conditions.

The image is displayed on a 0.49" OLED screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 px. The display is designed to minimize eye strain during long observation sessions, ensuring high user comfort. A refresh rate of 50 Hz allows for comfortable observation of moving objects. The thermal imager has a built-in laser rangefinder, which makes it easy to determine the distance to a target up to 1000 m away.

The advanced optical system, combined with a sensitive sensor, enables the detection of objects at distances of up to 2,600 meters. As a result, the Falcon FQ50L 2.0 is ideal for observing vast fields, open spaces, and monitoring large areas in complete darkness.

The device uses modern Hikmicro technologies, which enhance operational fluidity, improve image quality, and facilitate observation in diverse terrain and lighting conditions:

• HSIS - Hikmicro Shutterless Image System - eliminates the need for traditional calibration, ensuring uninterrupted and smooth observation without "image freezes." This allows the user to maintain full focus on the target, regardless of prevailing conditions.
• Image Pro 3.0 - a dynamic image processing system. Automatically adjusts contrast and sharpness, enhancing detail visibility in changing conditions.
• Zoom Pro - an algorithm optimizing digital magnification. Retains image detail and contrast at all zoom levels, enabling effective observation even at maximum magnification.

The Picture in Picture mode allows enlarging the central part of the image in a specially displayed window. For improved user comfort, the monocular is equipped with diopter adjustment ranging from -5 to +3. The Hot Track feature automatically detects and marks the hottest point in the observed thermal image, facilitating the location of heat sources.

The thermal imager allows using 6 image display modes to facilitate recognition and identification of observed objects:

• White Hot - the higher the temperature, the brighter the tone.
• Black Hot - the higher the temperature, the darker the tone.
• Red Hot - image like in "White Hot" with red highlighting of the hottest elements.
• Fusion - from high temperature to low temperature, the image is colorful from white, yellow, red, pink to purple.
• Red Monochrome - red monochrome palette, allows for long observation without eye fatigue.
• Green Monochrome - green monochrome palette, allows for long observation without eye fatigue.

The model features a function for saving photos or videos on a built-in internal memory of 64 GB capacity. Thanks to the Wi-Fi 2.4/5 GHz module, the thermal imager can be connected to the Hikmicro Sight app on a smartphone, enabling remote viewing, saving, and sharing of images.

The device is powered by a replaceable Li-ion 21700 battery, providing up to 6 hours of continuous work. The built-in USB-C port allows for convenient cell charging from a car charger, computer, or powerbank.

Short startup time of approx. 3 seconds allows for almost immediate observation commencement. Auto screen-off function automatically turns off the screen, saving energy and extending operating time.
