After a few days of use, the impression of 'cheap plastic' goes away – it's made quite well. I'll also add that the handle has a different color than in the pictures. In person, it's brown/dark coyote.
Honey Badger Flipper Large Folding Knife - Black
Folding EDC (Every Day Carry) knife with a Drop-Point blade profile made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. Equipped with a Liner Lock mechanism. The handle is made from nylon reinforced with fibers (FRN) in black, providing an ergonomic and comfortable grip during use.
8Cr13MoV stainless steel
The blade is made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, known for its ease of sharpening, good edge retention, and corrosion resistance. With proper heat treatment, the material achieves a hardness of about 56-58 HRC, making it a compromise between durability and ease of edge maintenance.
Drop-Point blade profile, satin finish
The blade with a Drop-Point profile is 92 mm long and 3 mm thick. It features a smooth cutting edge. The blade is finished using the satin method, giving it a semi-matte surface, ensuring an aesthetic appearance and enhancing scratch resistance.
Jimping on the spine of the knife allows for secure thumb placement, contributing to comfortable and safe tool operation.
Ergonomic handle made of reinforced nylon
The scales of the ergonomically shaped handle are made from reinforced nylon (FRN) with a non-slip texture, ensuring a secure grip even when dirty or wet. At the end of the handle, there is a hole for threading a lanyard or keychain.
A springy steel deep carry clip allows for convenient carrying of the knife by attaching it to a belt or pocket edge. The clip is reversible and can be mounted to suit both right- and left-handed users.
Flipper, Liner Lock
One-handed blade deployment is facilitated by a flipper, which can be pushed with the index finger combined with a dynamic wrist movement to quickly open the knife. Once opened, the flipper acts as an additional guard, preventing the hand from sliding onto the blade during operation. Thanks to the use of ball bearings, the blade moves smoothly and fluidly. In the open position, the blade is secured by a stable and reliable Liner Lock.

Militaria.pl is a distributor of Honey Badger.
Honey Badger is a brand of EDC knives created in 2014 by South African designer Marc Ager, who has been involved in the outdoor and hunting industry for many years. The first models - Claw, Hook, and Flipper - were presented in 2016 at the HuntEx trade fair in Johannesburg and immediately gained recognition thanks to their solid construction, ergonomics, and exceptional value for money. The brand is characterized by lightweight designs with a convenient ball bearing opening system, available in many variants suitable for everyday use. Today, Honey Badger is present on international markets, with official distributors in the US, France, Australia, and New Zealand, among others. The brand name refers to the honey badger, a predator known for its courage and tenacity, symbolizing the character of the knives: small but extremely durable and effective.

The knife is nicely packaged for this price range – box, leaflet, sticker, Torx key, such things are often not included with more expensive models. The size may be impressive, with a large and wide blade, the flipper works smoothly. Comfortable to use, the clip holds well and is stiff. The plastic used for the handle feels rather cheap and low-quality to the touch. For example, the RAT1 is heavier, more massive, and seems more solid. In your pocket, you can hardly feel it and, thanks to deep carry, it's barely visible. The knife passed a sharp test :) We'll see how it goes.

Great knife. Like every knife from Honey Badger, I love it. The price for the steel is quite high, but if someone likes knives from this brand, they won’t be disappointed. I bought it out of curiosity to compare it with the Hook (also L), and it's basically the same knife, but for EDC it's much more comfortable because it lacks the blade for cutting rope.

Good knife. Light, handy, comfortable to use. Handle is plastic – takes some getting used to. The clip doesn't hold very firmly. This is not a CS.

One of the better knives in this price range. Comfortable handle, interesting look, quite good steel, and above all, its smoothness. You can't stop playing with it ;)
-
I recommend it. It would be even better if it were in D2. Very nice EDC for relatively little money.
-
Great little knife. Good blade, the handle fits well in the hand—texture makes it easier to hold the knife when your hands are wet.

One of the best budget knives I have. The mechanics are perfect, sharp right out of the box, it looks beautiful, and is solidly made. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
