The axe is fantastic. Workmanship, first class. Very sharp. Extremely handy. I secured its handle with paracord to make it last longer. The size is brilliant for small tasks, and it can also handle larger ones. I recommend it.
The most compact axe offered by the Swedish brand, designed specifically for outdoor and bushcraft aficionados who require a reliable tool for basic camp activities. Featuring a short handle and lightweight head, this practical axe is ideal for regular carrying during excursions. The blade is crafted with a convex grind, where the wedge’s surfaces are gently rounded. This profile enhances the resilience of the cutting edge. Agelsjon takes its name from the lake that historically supplied water for the forge’s waterwheel.
The head is forged from Swedish carbon steel using traditional age-old techniques. During forging, the metal undergoes up to 60 strikes, improving both density and overall toughness.
The haft, ergonomically designed, is fashioned from hickory wood and treated with linseed oil for preservation. The handle’s end features an opening for attaching a lanyard or strap.
Included in the package is a leather sheath for the blade’s protection.

Quality in itself, a hatchet for years, excellent workmanship and many years of tradition, small, compact, ideal for a backpack. The sheath is much nicer than in older models. The axe is worth its price.

Great hatchet! As the saying goes—"small, but crazy," it arrived insanely sharp. Perfect for precision work, carving, and making firewood chips! The mirror finish on the bevel holds a sharp edge for a long time. The leather sheath is extremely elegant, useful, and sturdy, but it's worth oiling and waxing it so it doesn't absorb water, which doesn't go well with the steel used for forging the blade. The sheath is equipped with a loop suitable for attaching to a belt. The hatchet requires a bit of care because it's prone to rust, but it more than makes up for it. I recommend it and send my regards.

I love this hatchet. It is beautiful, small, and insanely sharp. It stays sharp for a long time and is easy to resharpen. Since I bought it, it has become an inseparable companion to my carving and curved spoon knife. It works excellently as a small tool for roughly shaping pieces of wood for spoons, cups, and other carvings. With some effort, it can also chop small sticks for a campfire and sharpen sticks for sausages. Highly recommended.
