Ethan Becker crafted the knife in Ka-bar’s Becker Knives lineup, focusing on a straightforward yet robust design. The full-tang construction and tough materials deliver exceptional dependability under all circumstances.

Featuring a Drop-Point blade profile, the knife is forged from 1095 Cro-Van tool steel, hardened to 56-58 HRC. The wide, flat ground blade is engineered for superior cutting efficiency. Both the blade and tang are coated in black epoxy, providing effective protection against corrosion.

The handle is composed of two contoured Grivory (zytel) scales, secured to the tang with Allen screws. Its ergonomic design ensures optimal grip security. Extending beyond the end of the scales, the tang forms a wide glass breaker, suitable for emergency glass breaking and use as an additional tool in the field. A hole at the back of the handle allows for attachment of a safety cord or lanyard.

A rugged sheath made from GFN-PA66 composite accompanies the knife. The sheath secures the blade with a snap-fastened strap to prevent accidental loss.

Ka-Bar

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Ka-Bar.

Ka-Bar is a brand whose history dates back to the late 19th century, and which gained real fame during World War II, when the Fighting Utility model was officially adopted by the US Marine Corps. The durable and versatile knife quickly became legendary, proving itself both in combat and in the daily tasks of soldiers. The name Ka-Bar itself comes from the 1920s, when a trapper described in a letter how he managed to “kill a bear” with a Union Cutlery knife. In 1952, wanting to emphasize the power of this symbol, the company officially changed its name to Ka-Bar Knives Inc., and its products are still considered a model of reliability today. An important chapter in the brand's history is also its collaboration with Ethan Becker, which resulted in the Becker series, highly valued by users, combining practical solutions with a modern approach to knife design.

Second opinion after another year of use. I confirm the indestructibility of this knife. With intense use, the knife of course gets dull, but sharpening it is no problem. The hardness below 60 and the flat grind make the work easier and I can do it myself. The blade coating wears off over time and the knife requires anti-corrosion protection, for which knife oil is sufficient. I recommend the product and the Militaria.pl store.

An indestructible knife (literally). Perfect for survival. For typical bushcraft applications, for example as a camp knife, it's suitable, but knives with ESEE 6 proportions are better. I added a small pouch to mine for fire-starting items, a compass, etc. I recommend it as a general-purpose knife.

Great knife. Massive and well made. Regarding the comments from the incompetent - the sheath is very good, the knife comes out very smoothly, you just need to press with your thumb at the handle, on the special grooving. It also sparks well if you have a thinner fire starter, the knife has a special notch at the beginning of the blade for... survivalists ;)

A typical small crowbar with additional features such as cutting, slicing, planing, and chiseling. It gives the user 100% of what can be expected from such a bar; it's quite heavy, the grip is very comfortable - I recommend it!

A knife that just can't be destroyed, simply a 'tank opener.' The sheath could be improved because it dulls the knife a bit, but after a dozen insertions, you can master the method of inserting and removing the knife.

Ka-Bar Becker BK2. They say it's a crowbar with a cutting edge. And it's true, it's heavy. If you can only have one knife with you, it should be this one. It's worth it.

Armored knife. There's a video where a guy chops down a tree with it using a baton—the knife is simply indestructible.

A chunk of steel, which means considerable weight.

Very solid knife, heavy and solid. The sheath needs to be replaced. It dulls the blade just from pulling it out. The knife itself sits securely in the hand. The only thing that could be improved is the spine, it doesn't work well with a fire starter. It's too rounded. A tool worth recommending.

A real beast, I only considered the ESEE 5 and this BK-2, ultimately the price won out because they're basically very similar. As for the sheath, I don't know why some people don't like it, the knife fits in with a characteristic click and can't come out on its own; removing it is easy if you brace your thumb against the special protrusions. I'm very happy with it because there's a good chance it will be a 'chopper' for many years and will handle all tasks with power to spare.

I do not recommend buying due to the terrible plastic sheath. Inserting and removing the knife requires superhuman strength, and what's worse, the sheath dulls the cutting edge!! The knife itself is okay, but if you are going to buy it, get the BK22 version. This is my third KA-BAR and this time I am disappointed.
