An excellent knife both as a handy EDC (it has a smaller angle between the blade and handle than other knives in the TDI series), but perfect as a self-defense knife, for which it was designed. Light, compact and easy to carry in any pocket. It can be opened instantly in two ways, with the flipper or by hooking your thumb through the hole in the blade. It opens very smoothly, "clicking" it is addictive :) Can be operated fully with one hand. I also have the Ka-Bar TDI 1480, which doesn't work so well for me every day (hooking onto a belt and wearing it under clothes). This one can just be thrown into any pocket and you can have it with you all the time. For me, it's the ideal universal, compact, everyday pocket knife.

Robust and foldable everyday carry knife (Every Day Carry). Equipped with a blade featuring a Spear-Point profile, crafted from AUS-8A stainless steel and hardened to 57-59 HRC. Optimal heat treatment guarantees excellent edge retention and simplifies resharpening. The flat-ground blade is finished with a matte black coating that helps prevent reflections and shields against corrosion.
Smooth, one-handed opening is provided by a dedicated thumb hole and flipper, with the latter also serving as a guard to keep your hand from slipping forward onto the blade when open. A solid Crossbar Lock reliably secures the blade in the open position to prevent accidental closure.
The handle is ergonomically contoured and constructed from glass-reinforced nylon for durability. Finger grooves and an anti-slip texture promote a firm grip. A steel clip allows for secure attachment to pockets or belts and is reversible for left or right side carry.

Ka-Bar is a brand whose history dates back to the late 19th century, and which gained real fame during World War II, when the Fighting Utility model was officially adopted by the US Marine Corps. The durable and versatile knife quickly became legendary, proving itself both in combat and in the daily tasks of soldiers. The name Ka-Bar itself comes from the 1920s, when a trapper described in a letter how he managed to “kill a bear” with a Union Cutlery knife. In 1952, wanting to emphasize the power of this symbol, the company officially changed its name to Ka-Bar Knives Inc., and its products are still considered a model of reliability today. An important chapter in the brand's history is also its collaboration with Ethan Becker, which resulted in the Becker series, highly valued by users, combining practical solutions with a modern approach to knife design.
