Great fire starter even for a layman like me. After scraping off the black coating on the fire starter, there is no problem lighting it. Lots of sparks, even rubbing with just the metal scraper.
Insulating hammock underquilt crafted from robust polyester in Rescue/Black colorway. Featuring a dual-color design, the underquilt can be used with the black side facing out or, in emergency scenarios, reversed to display the high-visibility orange side. The insulating layer uses Climashield Apex 4.0, which effectively minimizes heat loss and maintains its insulating performance even when exposed to moisture. Comfort-rated down to -7 deg. C, making it ideal for winter conditions.
Equipped with an adjustable drawstring system and stoppers, it allows for swift and secure attachment to any hammock.
When the hammock is not needed for sleeping, the quilt serves as a sleeping bag, blanket, or an additional insulation layer from the ground.
The entire set packs compactly into the included transport bag.

It's quite large. Perfect for working with gloves in winter.

Excellent quality fire starter. Throws a big spark so it’s easy and quick to get a fire going. I recommend it.
-
Easily lights hand-prepared tinder, I’ve been using it for 2 years and it’s still not worn out!
-
Very solid fire starter that produces a large, concentrated spark. I tried it with birch bark tinder and cotton. It really works! I recommend it :)
-
Very good fire starter. Throws strong sparks. The included striker deserves praise too; newer models don’t have one like this. Perfect for an EDC kit.
-
It sparks well, is reliable, and not expensive. It creates sparks even when wet.
-
The best fire starter I've had, no more wet matches. I recommend it.
-
At first, I had mixed feelings about it until I started striking bigger sparks using a knife. Cool gadget for long hikes or fishing marathons.
-
Fantastic fire starter, perfect for expeditions, makes sparks even after being soaked. Just make a small pile of fine dry twigs and it easily starts a fire. Takes a little practice.
-
Very convenient to use fire starter, solid, and how it performs will be revealed on the next trip. However, I must admit that no KERSHAW product has ever disappointed me so far. I think this product can be recommended.

I got it today and tested it. Hmm, it takes a bit of practice but once you get the hang of it, you have to be careful because you could set something on fire. A very good kit for lazy people who don’t want to figure out how to light a fire.
-
A very useful item for fishing or camping—just a bit of dry grass or wood from the forest is enough and you’ll have a fire going. Really effective and handy to use.
-
Solid and good fire starter. There is no problem lighting it in the rain. Small and handy for use everywhere. I recommend it.
