I bought the shoes about a week ago, wore them for a few days, and concluded that these shoes are only suitable for walking around the house—just not on a freshly washed floor, or you might lose your front teeth. On wet surfaces, the shoes are as slippery as ice; after rain, moving on wet stones is almost impossible. They only look nice, but they are absolutely not worth the money.
Lowa Zephyr GTX LOW TF Shoes - Black
Black tactical footwear featuring a lightweight yet robust construction and a breathable Gore-Tex membrane. Ideal for personnel in uniformed services as well as for everyday urban and outdoor activities.
Gore-Tex membrane, hydrophobic leather
Constructed with an upper comprised of Cordura and hydrophobic velour leather boasting a 1.5 mm thickness, the design ensures robust protection for both the foot and ankle against impacts and possible injuries. Incorporating a Gore-Tex membrane, the footwear achieves full waterproof performance, excellent breathability, and maintains a dry foot environment both inside and outside the boot.
Climate Control insole, Lowa Cross sole, PU MONOWRAP midsole
The Climate Control insole, featuring a ventilated mesh design, keeps feet dry and reduces the risk of blisters. Reinforced protection at the toe and heel is provided by an extra material layer and the PU MONOWRAP midsole. These elements safeguard against injuries from direct contact with curbs, exposed reinforcements, stones, or roots. Reliable traction on diverse terrain comes from the non-slip, cushioned Lowa Cross rubber outsole, equipped with a profiled tread for outstanding grip on a variety of surfaces. Gore-Tex is a thin membrane made of polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), which features a microporous structure. Its structure makes it highly water- and wind-resistant, as well as breathable. The membrane's pores are 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapor, which allows it to efficiently wick moisture to the outside. Gore-Tex is widely used in the production of outdoor clothing and footwear.
Monowrap is a three-dimensional shoe sole construction technology developed by Lowa. The combination of an injection-molded polyurethane rubber frame along with an outsole and cushioning foam provides better stability and protection for the foot. The sole form absorbs shock and supports the natural movement of the foot when walking.
Climate Control is a specially profiled insole with a four-layer construction responsible for efficient moisture wicking and maintaining proper air circulation, for fit and cushioning. The insole with a mesh structure guarantees to keep you dry and prevent corns.
Lowa Cross is Lowa's proprietary non-slip outsole. The molded tread provides very good grip and stability on a variety of surfaces, while the rubber structure absorbs and cushions shocks.

The sizes do not match the stated insole length; after finally picking a size, it turns out the shoe has a soft upper that doesn’t hold the ankle firmly, and the sole is as heavy as a rubber boot.

Absolutely delighted with the higher version of Lowa shoes, I decided to try the low model. In this case, I also have a comparison to low shoes from Salewa, Merrel, and Meindl, which I have been using for years – and Lowa performs very well. The shoes are comfortable, the sole is stiff, the upper provides good support, the heel fits well, and they look great, catching the eye.

For me, these shoes are very comfortable and durable. They protect the foot well against injuries. The sole is effective both when going uphill and downhill on steep slopes. Resistant to moisture. On warm days, your feet sweat, but then you can walk barefoot, in sandals, or slippers.

Absolutely the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever bought, the worst price-to-quality ratio. Of course, this opinion concerns my usage preferences as well as my feet. The first outing of about 10 km was okay, but later they started to pinch me from the inside, right behind the big toe, to the extent that I can't walk. I replaced the insoles and it's still the same. You can't say anything bad about the quality of workmanship or the Militaria store itself, but my feet just can't handle these shoes :(. I have done about 40 to 50 km in them and tomorrow they are going on OLX—maybe someone else will walk better in them.

I fulfilled my dream of buying the legendary Lowa Zephyr shoes. Well, the shoes look fantastic. But... they are not especially comfortable, the inside is hard, and the sole is also very stiff. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be, maybe someone likes it that way? What’s more, the size chart is slightly overstated, at least in my case, by about 0.5 cm, and the ankle still moves a bit. It’s a shame, because the appearance and quality are definitely a big plus.

The shoes are very comfortable and light, size 46 corresponds to 11UK. At first, they may seem too tight at the front, but after a while, they fit the foot elegantly. After 12 hours of duty, the foot does not sweat and is not as tired as a Bedouin in the summer.

Very well-made shoes, reinforced around the heel and toes. Just right for forest trips. A bit heavy, but you can’t have everything. These are my first shoes from this manufacturer; I hope they last long. The Militaria store, as always, flawless, fast shipping. I recommend it.
