MultiCam is an advanced camouflage pattern, created in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) under the Objective Force Warrior program. The aim was to design a highly adaptable camouflage effective across diverse terrains and under varying environmental conditions. The MultiCam design utilizes a palette of seven colors, featuring smooth gradient transitions between green, brown, and beige tones. This enables the pattern to blend seamlessly with its surroundings, presenting greens in woodland areas and browns or beiges in desert landscapes. Especially in Central and Eastern Europe, MultiCam excels during autumn and in arid vegetation. Renowned globally, MultiCam is employed by numerous military and special operations units. In 2010, the US Army officially adopted this camouflage for troops in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). Civilian availability additionally contributes to its popularity among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
