You have to take a deep breath and blow even harder to whistle. Certainly the pendant/ring is a weak point. Replace it and there’s no problem. Inside, you can write the child’s data on a note, put it inside, screw it closed—it definitely won’t get wet. It’s always a safety product in case, God forbid, a child gets lost.

Most importantly, it whistles and has holes for attaching—mine hangs on a Mil-Tec leash with a carabiner - Olive and the set looks excellent. Plus for the note in the middle.
