MFH Softshell High Defence Jacket - Tarnanzug 03

A jacket in Tarnanzug 03 camouflage designed for use in changeable weather conditions. The windproof, waterproof and breathable construction and the material with a waterproof rating of 8000 mm water column help protect against wind and precipitation while also supporting moisture wicking.

The well-thought-out pocket layout and velcro panels for attaching insignia make the Softshell High Defence model suitable for field operations and duty use.

The outer layer is made from fabric containing 94% polyester and 6% elastane, while the lining is made 100% of polyester. The addition of elastane increases the stretch of the material, which supports freedom of movement. All zippers are waterproof. The main front zipper is two-way and covered with a strip. At the top end there is a chin guard that reduces skin contact with the zipper.

The model is equipped with 4 external pockets:

• 1 chest pocket fastened with a zipper
• 2 pockets with zippers
• 1 pocket on each sleeve

Inside the jacket there are 2 additional chest pockets - one closed with a zipper, the other with velcro. In the chest pocket and sleeve pockets there are elastic loops that help organise small items of equipment being carried.

The sleeve pockets are equipped with velcro panels. An additional panel is located on the right chest, and on the left side there is a vertical attachment for rank insignia, fastened with velcro.

The high collar can be adjusted using a drawstring with a cord lock placed inside. A drawstring with a cord lock is also located at the waist, allowing adjustment of the jacket circumference.

Two-way ventilation zippers under the arms allow you to regulate airflow and support the release of excess heat during intense exertion. 2 zippers hidden in the side seams provide access to equipment carried on the belt.

The elbows have been reinforced to increase resistance to wear in areas particularly exposed to stress during work and movement in the field. The sleeves are finished with internal cuffs that fit closely around the wrists. The outer circumference of the sleeves can be adjusted using velcro fasteners.

The Tarnanzug 03 camouflage (also often referred to as Flecktarn 03) was introduced in the Austrian Armed Forces at the beginning of the 21st century. It was developed as a modernized version of the classic German Flecktarn, adapted to the terrain conditions of Central Europe. It is characterized by a combination of irregular spots in different shades of green, brown, and black, which effectively break up the silhouette in forested and mixed landscapes.

Due to the similar natural environment, Tarnanzug 03 is also effective in Polish and Central European forests, providing reliable concealment during field activities, outdoor expeditions, or airsoft games.
