The BW mat is solidly made. I use it as a base under my backpack and equipment, with a hammock set or as protection for an inflatable mat from damage from the ground. It works excellently for these uses, the only drawback is its size when folded, but this can be accepted.

I prefer mats that can be folded instead of rolled, because it makes packing them much easier. In my opinion, the price could be a bit lower for this type of product. I bought it to protect my mattress from sharp objects, especially since it’s not always possible to thoroughly clean the ground, especially when pitching a tent after dark. I wouldn’t recommend using this mat as the only protection, because it doesn’t seem very thick and probably won’t insulate against cold from the ground, but as an extra protective layer it does its job.
-
At this price, the insulation mat works very well. However, it should be remembered that by itself it does not provide much insulation. It is always worth putting an additional layer on top of it. When folded, the mat is great as a seat or for storing things. As I already mentioned, as a single mat for sleeping and insulation during winter, it will not be sufficient.
-
A bit expensive for what it offers. The insulation is ok, but there’s no comfort. I wouldn’t risk sleeping on it, but it works as a work mat in camp or as extra insulation under an inflatable mattress. You can cram it into a Helikon EDC backpack, but the corners do bulge out a bit. It sticks a bit to bare skin.

Great mat, the perfect choice if your priority is that it shouldn't weigh too much and should be easy to carry. Works perfectly as a back stiffener for a backpack, and it's also very lightweight.

Mil-Tec BW EVA sleeping mat - Olive. That's exactly what I was looking for; fits in the backpack and additionally stiffens the back. Lightweight and well-made. Good insulation from the ground, also works in a hammock.
-
The price is a bit high, but the quality is good. It doesn't rip, even after a long time. It's a pity it's a bit small and doesn't have any foil-like insulation. I'd probably look for something else.
-
Well made, lightweight, easy to transport, fits easily in a 36L backpack. Good insulation; when lying in a hammock, your back doesn't get cold. By the campfire on the ground, it does its job too.
-
It's definitely worth investing in this mat instead of standard folding or rolled mats if you want to move discreetly without a huge mat strapped to the outside of your backpack. You can fit this mat inside and it won't take up much space. I recommend it.
-
The mat doesn't work with the pocket in the manufacturer's backpack (specifically the 36L model), but is well made, and with a self-inflating mat, insulates very well. Lightweight and a big plus for the many ways you can stash it in a backpack. The price is a bit off, but I’ll note that the mat itself is 5/5, but I have to deduct for the price.
-
The mat easily fits inside the patrol backpack from the mountain infantry set 987b/MON—which is what I wanted. Additionally, there’s just enough space in the backpack for the military summer sleeping bag.
-
Only for very warm nights. At 10 degrees, the insulation is not noticeable. The folding method seems convenient, but works for me only when I’m not overnighting. Maybe in summer, with 18-degree nights, this mat plus a blanket and mosquito net will fit conveniently in a backpack, but a few nights convinced me that a mat belongs outside, rolled or folded accordion-style. Thickness doesn’t matter for comfort. In the forest on leaves, it’s soft; on meadows, less so. I wouldn’t take it to the mountains. Poor insulation—reviews suggesting this is a fantastic mat are, in my opinion, questionable or by people very resistant to cold. In my opinion, the money could be better spent, as the price-to-quality ratio is not good at all.
-
It is indeed a bit thin, thinner than the military-issue one, but still insulates from the ground very well. When folded, it fits in a backpack, which, on longer treks, can be used as backpack stiffening and thus is discreet.
-
It is thin, but insulates well from the ground. Big plus for being able to fit it into a backpack (even a 20L one). If you don't want to attach a mat outside your backpack, showing everyone you meet that "I'm going to camp in the wild," this mat is for you. Worth buying and having.
-
Wonderful mat, insulates very well, and the folding option means it doesn’t take up much space in the backpack. Its weight is a big plus and an advantage compared to other mats.
