Aluminum mess tin from Mil-Tec, crafted in the design of German army-issue models. Constructed of aluminum, the set offers an extremely light weight, full resistance to rust, and outstanding heat conductivity, which simplifies warming up food.
The mess tin is comprised of three components: a main pot, a frying pan, and a cup. I used the mess tin over a fire twice as a pot, and after removing the tar from the campfire, the mess tin lost its paint and is all gray-black. In addition, opening and closing it is cumbersome because everything gets stuck. The mess tin is crooked and the handle keeps falling off, the 'pan' handle is already worn out and very loose, so it doesn't close. I use it to transport food because it’s not suitable for other things due to the likelihood of the handle breaking. The only great things are its size and appearance, but other than that, it's a disaster.

In the army I ate from a similar one during field exercises. The world has generally moved away from aluminum in the gastronomic sphere. Stainless steel is healthier and easier to keep clean.

The mess tin is well made. Taller than our Polish army one, it also has an additional part inside. We'll see how the outer paint holds up after using it over a fire :) However, the material itself seems a bit more 'delicate' than the Polish equivalent. There is already some paint chipping on the new one.
