    I've had two pieces for about a year and a half now and so far there's no sign of wear. I use them as extra straps with my backpack, on my bike rack, and for securing loose doors in the garden pavilion. In the latter case they were exposed to quite strong wind and nothing happened to them at all. Even the paint on the hooks hasn't come off.
