It works great, even with the original striker. The sparks are powerful and you can have a lot of fun with it. I bought the Mil-Tec Fire Steel Large and I have to honestly say that it's one of those outdoor tools that are really worth having in your backpack on every adventure in the wild. For people who have never used a fire starter before. This is not a good fire starter, mainly because of the scraper, as it is the scraper that is responsible for good performance. It's better to buy a more expensive fire starter with a better scraper once than struggle with this one and use it for a long time; after that, you can confidently buy this.

Great fire starter, I previously ordered junk from Temu where the size is similar, but unfortunately it's just a small magnesium rod inside another rod, only good for a few uses. Here the entire rod is magnesium and works great. The price was almost the same, so I recommend it.
