Small and slim, a good everyday EDC light. Large battery life, well-chosen modes and easy to operate. A good flashlight at a somewhat inflated price, nevertheless I recommend it.
A rugged and handy EDC flashlight, it generates a maximum light output of 345 lumens and a range of 152 meters, thanks to the CREE XP-G2 R5 diode.
The sturdy body with a non-slip texture is made of aircraft-grade aluminum coated with a hard anodized HA III coating. The flashlight has been sealed with an O-ring system, which guarantees IPX-8 water resistance (resistance to immersion to a depth of up to 2 meters for 30 minutes).
The diode is protected by hardened mineral glass with anti-reflective coatings on both sides.
The flashlight is powered by two readily available AA batteries.
A ring at the head is used to change light modes. The flashlight has a memory of the last selected mode and easy access to Turbo mode.
Operating modes / light duration:
- Turbo - 345 lumens / 2 h 15 min,
- High - 138 lumens / 5 hrs,
- Mid - 55 lumens / 12 hr,
- Low - 17 lumens / 50 h,
- S.O.S. - 345 lumens,
- strobe - 345 lumens.
The flashlight includes:
- clip,
- lanyard,
- spare gaskets.

Great flashlight. It would be perfect if the head had a rotation lock or just 2 click positions (normal and turbo mode), or to do away with turbo altogether and make the head fixed. As it is, I have doubts whether it might lose waterproofness if the head is unscrewed too much (the head can be completely unscrewed). In my opinion, the Olight i5T has a better LED for a flashlight of this size (wide beam), as the MT2A has a more focused beam, but on the other hand, the MT2A allows complete freedom in choosing brightness and mode (Olight has that annoying brightness-switching system every X minutes). The MT2A Pro probably has a fixed head but again fewer modes and shorter runtime on 2xAA. I think I'll put extra seals in this flashlight so the head can't be fully screwed in (activating Turbo mode), and then it should be perfect, because the truth is, those turbo modes are just a marketing gimmick.
