A great little knife for a herbalist working in the forest and garden, where dropping the knife could end up with it getting lost. I highly recommend everyone buy one because it's definitely worth it.
Lightweight folding knife equipped with a 78 mm blade. The Clip-Point style blade is crafted from 12C27 Sandvik stainless steel and finished with a semi-matte surface. Full flat grind on the blade, combined with its slim profile, delivers outstanding slicing performance.
Blade deployment is facilitated by a notch, while the Virobloc lock system ensures user safety. This steel ring, positioned at the blade pivot, must be rotated after opening to block the blade notch within the handle, effectively securing the blade in place during use. The locking mechanism also prevents accidental blade deployment when folded.
Ergonomic handle features hornbeam wood finished in a durable Anise lacquer. Handle is highly customizable—options include adding texture, carvings, or applying a different stain. Wooden handle construction also permits drilling a hole at the end, allowing attachment of a lanyard if desired.

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Opinel.
Opinel is a French knife brand whose history dates back to 1890 in Savoy. The founder, Joseph Opinel, created the first folding knife, No. 08, which quickly became a symbol of everyday use thanks to its simplicity and functionality. In 1955, the Virobloc locking system was introduced, later modernized, which is still the hallmark of the brand today. In 1985, Opinel was recognized by the Victoria and Albert Museum as one of the 100 best-designed objects in the world, and the brand's knives also found their way into the MoMA collection in New York. Production takes place in Chambery, with an emphasis on quality and ecology - the wood comes from French forests and the waste is used to heat the factory. Among the famous users was Pablo Picasso, who used Opinel for carving, and the knives themselves have become a symbol of simplicity, durability, and the French lifestyle.

The knife has a handle in a nice color, you certainly won't lose it in the forest while picking mushrooms. It is light. The blade is not very sharp, I had to sharpen it. The quality is adequate for the price.

This is already the second one, this time as a gift for my mom.... The Opinel No.7 folding knife is a classic that needs no advertisement—it's perfect, handy, and very, very functional. Made in various wood colors... perfect! I recommend it!

Nice cheap knife. It's one of my first Opinels in my collection, so along with the model with the traditional raw wood handle, I also decided to buy this model. The handle is lacquered in various color options, so everyone will find something for themselves. At the end of the handle there's a hole through which a piece of leather is threaded. The knife is sharp, but it's not like a razor.
