Lightweight folding knife featuring a 78 mm blade length. Outfitted with a Clip-Point style blade constructed from 12C27 Sandvik stainless steel, the blade displays a semi-matte finish. Completed with a full flat grind and minimal blade thickness, the design ensures superior cutting performance.

A notch on the blade enables easy opening, while the Virobloc lock delivers dependable operational security. Positioned at the blade's pivot axis, this steel ring on the handle is rotated to lock the blade securely into place, preventing unwanted movement. The mechanism also safeguards against accidental opening when folded.

The ergonomically shaped handle is crafted from hornbeam wood and is coated in a Cyan Blue lacquer. Customization is a notable feature of the handle, allowing for texturing, carving, or staining in any preferred color. The wooden body further permits drilling a hole at the end of the handle, suitable for attaching a safety lanyard.

Opinel

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Opinel.

Opinel is a French knife brand whose history dates back to 1890 in Savoy. The founder, Joseph Opinel, created the first folding knife, No. 08, which quickly became a symbol of everyday use thanks to its simplicity and functionality. In 1955, the Virobloc locking system was introduced, later modernized, which is still the hallmark of the brand today. In 1985, Opinel was recognized by the Victoria and Albert Museum as one of the 100 best-designed objects in the world, and the brand's knives also found their way into the MoMA collection in New York. Production takes place in Chambery, with an emphasis on quality and ecology - the wood comes from French forests and the waste is used to heat the factory. Among the famous users was Pablo Picasso, who used Opinel for carving, and the knives themselves have become a symbol of simplicity, durability, and the French lifestyle.

A great little knife for a herbalist working in the forest and garden, where dropping the knife could end up with it getting lost. I highly recommend everyone buy one because it's definitely worth it.

The knife has a handle in a nice color, you certainly won't lose it in the forest while picking mushrooms. It is light. The blade is not very sharp, I had to sharpen it. The quality is adequate for the price.

Nice cheap knife. It's one of my first Opinels in my collection, so along with the model with the traditional raw wood handle, I also decided to buy this model. The handle is lacquered in various color options, so everyone will find something for themselves. At the end of the handle there's a hole through which a piece of leather is threaded. The knife is sharp, but it's not like a razor.
