Precision thermal imaging scope engineered for both daytime and nighttime shooting. The Thermion 2 LRF XG50 features a fixed optical magnification of 3x. For enhanced targeting, digital zoom is available within a 3-24x range, making object detection possible at distances up to 2300 meters. An integrated laser rangefinder provides fast and accurate distance measurements up to 800 m, with a precision of +/- 1 m.
The thermal scope is outfitted with a sensor delivering a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and a pixel pitch of 12 µm. Outstanding sensor sensitivity enables temperature variation detection below 40 mK. An AMOLED HD display, boasting 1024 x 768 pixels resolution, delivers vivid color representation, efficient power consumption, rapid response, and seamless viewing—even in sub-zero temperatures. Operation is facilitated by built-in controls and function buttons placed on the tube.
Offering eight display modes, the thermal imaging scope supports object identification and recognition:
- White Hot – optimized for detection,
- Black Hot – optimized for detection,
- Red Hot – designed for object detection,
- RedMonochrome – suitable for long-duration nighttime observation,
- Rainbow – aids in recognition and identification,
- Ultramarine – enhances recognition and identification,
- Violet – ideal for prolonged nighttime monitoring,
- Sepia – supports extended nighttime observation.
Fitted with ten reticle types (D50i, C50i, X54i, H50i, X50i, T54i, M58i, X51Fi-300, M56Fi (Mil-Dot), M57Fi (Mil-Dot)) and four selectable colors, reticles are presented electronically on the same focal plane as the target. A comprehensive selection allows optimal reticle choice based on surrounding conditions. The scope is equipped with five ballistic profiles, each with memory support for ten zero distances. A built-in picture-in-picture feature magnifies the image center within a window occupying 10% of the display for easier target identification.
Photo and video recording is supported with internal storage of 16 GB. Wireless file transfer to smartphones or tablets is facilitated via Wi-Fi and the StreamVision 2 app. The Wi-Fi module also enables a phone running StreamVision 2 to serve as an external monitor or remote control. Enhanced user experience is provided through integrated diopter adjustment.
Constructed from aluminum alloy, the scope’s body provides robust recoil resistance up to 6000 J (suitable for calibers like .375 H&H, 9.3 x 64). Compact build coupled with gasket sealing ensures a waterproof rating of IPX7, protecting the housing in up to 1 m of water for 30 minutes. Operational temperature spans from -25 to +50 degrees Celsius.
Dual-battery design includes a built-in 4900 mAh cell and a replaceable APS2 2000 mAh battery, collectively offering up to 10 hours of performance. Compatibility with APS3 batteries is ensured via the included APS3 adapter (APS3 not included). A USB Type-C port permits use with a power bank to further prolong operating time, while the Display OFF power-saving mode reduces display brightness without shutting down the scope.

Pulsar, part of the European Yukon Group, is a brand of thermal imaging and day/night digital optics based in Lithuania. It was founded in 1991 by a group of enthusiasts who assembled their first devices in a basement, and today employs over 1200 people and operates in more than 70 countries. All Pulsar products are manufactured in Europe, and the brand has become famous for innovations such as digital sights with a one-shot zero function for quick zeroing, and Dual-Purpose solutions that combine the functions of a monocular and a sight. Its modernity is also emphasized by the Stream Vision 2 app, which allows devices to be connected to smartphones via Wi-Fi for remote control, image transfer, and software updates. In 2005, Yukon Group was the first company to introduce digital night vision sights to the civilian market, initiating a new era of accessible optoelectronics. In 2012, the first mass-produced thermal imaging monocular for civilians, the Quantum, was released, followed in 2019 by the compact Axion XM30, capable of detecting a human silhouette from a distance of 1350 meters in complete darkness.
