Schrade Extreme Survival Neck Knife

Compact neck knife with a fixed blade and Full Tang construction, designed for everyday carry (EDC) and field use. It features a blade with a Drop-Point profile made of 9Cr18MoV stainless steel coated with titanium, and handle scales made of G10 laminate with a non-slip texture providing a secure grip. The set includes a sheath made of thermally formed material and a cord for convenient neck carry.

9Cr18MoV stainless steel

The blade is made of 9Cr18MoV stainless steel with a high carbon content. This material is characterized by a high hardness level of 58–60 HRC, good corrosion resistance, and effective edge retention, which translates into durability and efficiency of the knife even during intensive use.

Drop-Point profile blade

The blade with a Drop Point profile measures 79 mm in length and 4.1 mm in thickness. The smooth cutting edge is executed with a high flat grind, providing good cutting properties and ease of performing precise tasks. The blade is coated with a black, matte titanium coating, which reduces glare and increases resistance to corrosion and minor mechanical damage.

Full Tang construction, ergonomic G10 handle

The knife handle is made with Full Tang construction, meaning the steel tang runs through the entire length of the blade, ensuring high strength and stability of the construction. The tang is fitted with scales made of black G10 laminate reinforced with fiberglass, known for its resistance to damage and moisture. The non-slip texture, distinct finger groove, and jimping on the spine of the blade provide a secure grip and good control over the knife even with wet or dirty hands. Additionally, a small steel cross guard increases safety by protecting the hand from slipping onto the blade.

Thermally formed sheath, neck carry cord

The sheath included with the knife is made of lightweight and durable thermally formed laminate. It features holes for threading a cord, and its design securely holds the knife, preventing accidental drops. With the included cord, the knife can be conveniently carried on the neck, which is useful during daily use and outdoor activities.

9Cr18Mov (9Cr18) feature
9Cr18Mov (9Cr18)
9Cr18MoV (9Cr18) is a high-carbon martensitic stainless steel containing approximately 0.85-0.95% carbon, 17-19% chromium, 1-1.3% molybdenum, and a small amount of vanadium. It is considered the Chinese equivalent of AISI 440A and 440B steel, offering similar parameters but with better edge durability and service life. It is characterized by high hardness (58-60 HRC), very good rust resistance, and long-lasting sharpness. The steel is used in knives, surgical instruments, and precision technical blades, providing a good compromise between hardness, strength, and environmental resistance.
Titanium feature
Titanium
Titanium is a lightweight, extremely durable metal widely used in knife manufacturing, especially in handles, locks, and structural elements. It is characterized by a very high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent corrosion resistance, even in contact with salt water. Titanium is slightly more difficult to machine than steel or aluminum, but it can be anodized to produce durable and attractive surfaces in a variety of colors. This material is also hypoallergenic, does not conduct heat as intensely as steel, and is not magnetized. Due to its strength, chemical resistance, and relatively low weight, titanium is used in tactical knives, EDC knives, and premium models designed for intensive use.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.

A small can opener for tanks. In the photos, it's compared to the Spyderco Presistance. The shape of the blade can be seen in the picture :) It has been batoned. Only its size detracts from comfort during this action. A knife with potential.

A bit heavy for a neck knife, but with a tek-lok on the belt it's great. It can be worn instead of a folder. Oh! In my opinion, it sits a bit too tightly in the kydex.

Product is as described. Good knife. Real kydex sheath. Quite heavy for size. Very pleased. Would buy again.

    Nice knife, I recommend it.

One of the most massive knives in this size; too heavy for the neck, but perfect for small camp tasks. The handle is comfortable, and the blade profile allows for many uses. I recommend it.

Despite its small size, it's a very functional tool. It's a bit too heavy for a neck knife. After attaching a tek-lok (Sanrenmu, available in the shop), you can mount it to a belt or your gear. The ergonomics of the handle and the jimping deserve mention (you might consider sanding the edges of the handle scales with fine sandpaper). For me, 5/5.

Large and solid, I haven't had it long enough to comment on durability, but for short time use, it's a 5.

Cool little knife made of decent steel, the sheath is a bit tight, but it's made of kydex.

    Typical Robol. Worth its price.

There is no competition at this price. The sheath indeed holds tight. Good because it won't fall out, but it's hard to remove with your thumb. It's not light, but you can carry it around your neck.

Very durable and handy. I've had it for 4 years and it has been with me outdoors many times. It opened cans, sharpened sticks, cut food, and started fires. As a neck knife, it's a bit heavy, but it's indestructible. I recommend it.

Solid little knife. For a neck knife, the weight is above average; for me, it will go horizontally on my belt. The sheath holds tight, and there isn't enough room for thumb extraction. Both issues fixed with hot air.

Small, fits the hand, great for virtuoso woodwork... After grinding down the sharp edges of the handle, you can work continuously...
