Constructed with a blade crafted from SK-4 high-carbon steel and paired with an ergonomic handle offering a non-slip grip, this tool excels in both gardening and forestry tasks. Included is a transparent case, ensuring effortless portability for everyday use.

SK-4 carbon steel, chrome-plated blade, locking mechanism

Featuring a 240 mm blade crafted from robust SK-4 carbon steel, this saw delivers exceptional resistance to cracking and chipping. A chrome-plated surface shields the blade from corrosion and moisture, greatly prolonging its longevity. For enhanced user safety, a locking mechanism enables the blade to be secured in one of two positions during operation.

Handle made of rubber-coated material, hole for a lanyard

An ergonomically contoured handle, constructed from durable, rubber-coated material, guarantees excellent non-slip grip and minimizes vibrations during use. A hole at the end of the handle allows for easy attachment of a lanyard or safety cord.

Silky

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Silky.

Silky is a Japanese brand of hand saws, founded in 1919 in Ono by Katsuji Miyawaki. For more than one hundred years, it has been regarded as a synonym for precision and reliability, and its saws stand out for their high quality of workmanship. They are made from top-grade cutlery steel, treated with impulse hardening technology - impulse hardening of the teeth - and designed for "pull cutting," which allows for light operation and smooth wood cuts. In 1980, the brand patented its proprietary saw tooth setting process, significantly improving sharpness; the technology was used in models such as 4-Retsume and Miraime2. Silky models are used by arborists, foresters, carpenters, and bushcraft enthusiasts around the world. An interesting fact is that the Silky "Gomboy" saw from 1985 was the first on the market to feature a rubber-coated handle, which made it stand out in the industry and earned it the prestigious Good Design Award in Japan. Thanks to the combination of Japanese craftsmanship and modern technologies, Silky has set the highest standards in the hand saw segment for decades.

This saw fully deserves 5 stars. I used it for various tasks, mainly in the garden, but I also cut through several tree trunks with it. It is very comfortable to use and well balanced. My wife also uses it and is very satisfied with it as well.

I haven’t had much experience with saws in my life, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but this saw really surprised me. It performs its function excellently, is small, and has a nice case.

I chose the Gomboy-270 because the Bigboy turned out to be too large for certain situations and didn't fit all my backpacks. Thanks to the plastic case, it's easy to store. Its quality raises no objections, so for me, it's a great addition.

Great saw, handy when folded, case protected against accidental opening. The saw itself is locked when unfolded and won't close by accident. And it cuts very well, provided you follow the manufacturer's recommendations (cutting 'towards yourself'), because if you press too hard while moving 'away from yourself', the blade bends.

Great saw, lightweight, with protection against accidental folding, and it cuts very efficiently (if used according to the manufacturer's recommendations). After several uses, it is still sharp. Plus points for the rubberized handle and the case.

I own several different models from this manufacturer and I am satisfied with all of them. I always keep this size in the car because it doesn't take up space and sometimes it proves useful.

The saw cuts great, it is very sharp which makes even thicker trunks easy to cut in the blink of an eye. Additionally, the blade is replaceable, which is also a big advantage.

Very good saw. It handles even thicker logs with ease. It's sharp and stays that way for a long time (I've been using it for over a year). Its cover also deserves praise—it's tight and sturdy. The saw is quite flexible, so you have to be careful not to bend it during fast cutting as this could break the blade.

A big plus for the plastic case and another big plus for the ability to replace the blades. Very good quality of the saw. Very fast shipping. I recommend it, Paweł!

Really great saw; quality as usual – silky... However, the size is very universal and gives a lot of possibilities, while still being compact and lightweight.

Top-class equipment. Recommended by most bushcrafters. In my opinion, it’s the perfect size for cutting medium-sized logs for a campfire. It will also handle larger ones without a problem. I suggest watching videos on how to use them before trying. These saws do not forgive mistakes and it’s very easy to break the blade.

The saw is very solid and easy to use. It easily handles even large and thick branches. As a backup option to the hatchet, it's a very good proposal. I recommend it.
