Snowline Walk Hiking Crampons - Navy

Tourist crampons engineered for trekking along mountain paths and through valleys across diverse terrain. Outfitted with 12 mm long steel spikes to ensure reliable grip on ice, hard-packed snow, and mud. Not intended as a replacement for traditional crampons and unsuitable for mountaineering or travel in high alpine regions.

Featuring 10 points, each 12 mm in length, crafted from hardened, corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the model delivers exceptional grip on slick surfaces, ensuring stability and reliable traction even on thicker ice layers. The points are linked by robust steel chains. Integration of an extended chain segment in the central section provides natural flexibility of the sole, maintaining a full range of motion without limitation.

Equipped with a thermal insulation coefficient of R-Value 3, assessed according to ASTM F3340-18. The R-Value indicates the insulation capability from the ground—the greater the number, the better the heat retention effectiveness.

R-Value classification as applied in the outdoor sector:

• 1.0-2.0 – recommended for summer use (night temperatures above approximately 10 deg. C),
• 2.1-3.5 – suitable for spring, summer, and autumn (around 0–10 deg. C),
• 3.6-5.0 – designed for cooler conditions, including around 0 deg. C and sub-zero environments down to about -5/-10 deg. C,
• 5.1-7.0 – intended for winter use, where temperatures remain below 0 deg. C,
• above 7.0 – optimal for winter expeditions demanding superior insulation against extreme cold.

Actual thermal comfort is influenced by the entire sleep system (sleeping bag, clothing layers), type of ground, as well as the user’s individual cold tolerance.
