The operating temperatures of the Softie 9 sleeping bag are specified in accordance with EN 13537:
- T-comfort: -5 deg. C – the lowest temperature at which a woman can comfortably sleep through the night,
- T-extreme: -10 deg. C - the lowest temperature at which it is possible to survive in the sleeping bag. This is not a value recommended for standard use.
The outer shell of the sleeping bag is crafted from Paratex Steelplate, offering excellent breathability, superior wind resistance, and outstanding moisture protection, enhanced by DWR waterproofing (Durable Water Repellency). As a result, even on wet mornings in the field, dew collects on the surface of the sleeping bag rather than penetrating and soaking the fabric. The inner lining uses Paratex Light material, recognized for its soft feel, substantial wind-blocking ability, and breathability rate of 12l/m2/24h. Superior breathability minimizes moisture accumulation inside the bag, which commonly occurs due to body heat condensation in low-temperature environments.
A reinforced section is integrated near the foot area inside the sleeping bag, providing improved insulation while enabling users to sleep in footwear without risk of tearing the sleeping bag material. Additionally, two compact loops for convenient hanging and drying of the sleeping bag are included.
Packed with Softie Premier insulation, the sleeping bag delivers excellent thermal performance even in damp conditions, while its soft texture ensures maximum comfort. The unique fiber construction enables easy care, allowing for both hand and machine washing when required.
A two-way zipper from the reputable brand YKK is positioned on the left side of the sleeping bag. The interior features a protective strip that safeguards the fabric from snagging in the zipper while also minimizing heat loss. Two sleeping bags with zippers on opposite sides can be joined together to form a double sleeping bag.
An anatomically contoured hood offers superior defense against heat loss from the head. The integrated drawstring allows for a secure fit, reducing warmth escape and maximizing comfort during overnight use in cold environments.
