Knife lightweight folder features a frame constructed from two steel liners with precision-cut holes for reduced weight. The handle utilizes injection-molded FRN (fiberglass-reinforced nylon) with a textured surface for improved grip. Assembly is secured using torx screws. A thumb ramp, complete with jimping where the handle meets the blade, offers enhanced control during use.

The blade is designed with a modified clip point shape and crafted from premium Japanese VG10 stainless steel, recognized for its exceptional resistance to dulling and straightforward sharpening. A partial flat grind is applied to the blade. The inclusion of a thumb hole—a patented Spyderco hallmark—enables effortless ambidextrous opening.

A reliable back lock mechanism secures the blade in place. An oval notch is integrated into the lock release lever, preventing accidental disengagement even with a strong hold on the handle.

Daily carry is made convenient by a spring-mounted, reversible clip (with 4-position adjustment) affixed to the handle, allowing secure attachment to a pocket or belt edge.

Delica 4 stands out as a classic lightweight EDC (everyday carry) knife, yet its robust construction allows for high-force cutting tasks when necessary.

Spyderco is an American company based in Golden, Colorado, founded in 1976 by Sal and Gail Glesser. The brand's origins are linked to the invention of the “Portable Hand,” which gave rise to the company's name, and in 1978, the innovative Tri-Angle Sharpmaker® was introduced. The breakthrough came in 1981 with the launch of the C01 Worker knife - the world's first model with a carrying clip, the distinctive Spyderhole opening, and the serrated SpyderEdge blade. Spyderco was also a pioneer in the use of new materials, being the first to introduce CPM S60V powder steel and H-1 stainless steel, designed for use in marine environments. For years, the brand has been collaborating with renowned knifemakers, including Al Mar, Ernest Emerson, and Marcin Slysz, creating unique models that have gained iconic status. The stylized spider logo symbolizes both the company's origins and Spyderco's values: precision, innovation, and high performance.

A classic, a recognizable model. The steel is very good, personally I'm not a fan of the blade profile and the material the handle scales are made of, but objectively it's a very good, well-thought-out model.

A folding knife classic that has stood the test of time. At this price, it’s hard to find a better lightweight, good folder that is not made in China. A knife worth recommending and trying!

Pleasant small and lightweight folder. Really easy to use, well made, I didn't see any flaws, which at this price shouldn't happen so I recommend it.

A classic worth having in the collection. However, the version with a full flat grind is cooler.

One of the top Spyderco, now I understand why, very nice lightweight knife.

I've been using the Delica as my EDC knife for a good few years. The folder is lightweight, has excellent quality scales and a blade made from one of the best steels on the market. The SpyderHole is a very convenient opening option. The paint comes off the clip after a few weeks, but that's absolutely not a problem. Delica probably has no flaws except for the price, but it's worth every penny. I highly recommend it, it's my favorite EDC knife.
