MultiCam represents a cutting-edge camouflage pattern, introduced in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision, in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. Featuring a palette of seven distinct colors, MultiCam utilizes gradual transitions blending green, brown, and beige tones. This unique composition enables the pattern to seamlessly merge with varying surroundings—adopting green hues in wooded regions and shifting towards browns or beiges in arid, desert landscapes; especially effective during the autumn months and in areas dominated by dry vegetation in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2010, it was officially selected by the US Army as the standard camouflage for personnel deployed in Afghanistan, replacing the Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP).
