Completely safe for the environment, the device uses no chemicals and offers user-friendly operation. To activate for the first time, charge the Li-Ion battery via micro USB and hold the button. Four LED flashes confirm TickLess is switched on and active. A red indicator signals when battery power drops below 30%. To switch off, quickly triple-press the button, indicated by a double LED flash. On a full charge, the device operates for 7–14 days.
The night location feature (LED flashes rapidly) can be enabled or disabled by holding down the button for an extended period.
