Great radio, an alternative to Baofengs, which are rightly but monotonously recommended for beginners. In my opinion, it's worth paying extra for the TYT for the quality. On the plus side: the radio comes unlocked and with up-to-date firmware. I recommend it!

Dual Watch function, CTCSS and DCS tones

The TH-UV88 radio incorporates CTCSS and DCS systems, as well as straightforward encryption through a scrambler.

Outfitted with a PTT - push-to-talk button, the radio features a Kenwood-type connector for attaching headphones with a microphone, specialized mini speakers, or shooting hearing protection devices. The UV88 supports programming both directly from the keypad or via a computer when using a dedicated USB cable (not included). Advanced software options enable efficient grouping and identification.
