Purchased as a gift for someone who often hikes in the mountains, sometimes off the trail. There hasn't been an opportunity to use or test it. It significantly improves peace of mind and adds confidence. A big plus for the holster included for carrying. The grip is secure and there is strong protection against accidental use. I believe that decontamination wipes should definitely be included with the purchase. Experience with smaller sprays shows that you can get caught in the gas cloud yourself, as the wind can sometimes be unpredictable.

On the website they mention a 10m effectiveness range, but the bottle says 8m. I hope I'll never have to use it, but I prefer when marketing keeps up with reality.
