As it usually is with socks – it's better to take a bigger size! My foot is 42-42.5, I usually buy shoes 43-43.5, and I ordered these socks in size 44-46 and they fit just right. Smaller ones would be too tight. The workmanship looks good, the mesh is where it should be. First use: the day was long, the temperature was moderate, my feet stayed dry (but I was also wearing knee-highs) and there was no unpleasant smell. The synthetic material is a bit slick and sticky, especially compared to cotton blends. I didn't notice a particular cooling effect, but I also wasn't hot because the socks are thin and breathable. They still have a test ahead of them on really hot, long days…
