Za-Pas Vici O2 Fixed Blade Knife - Stonewash

Knife with a fixed blade designed for everyday use and all fieldwork, equipped with a Drop-Point blade profile made of O2 tool steel (1.2842), characterized by high abrasion resistance. The model features an ergonomic handle made of G10 laminate. The set includes a rigid holster made of Kydex material.

O2 tool steel

The knife is made from high-carbon O2 tool steel hardened to 59-60 HRC. This material, combined with precise heat treatment, is characterized by high strength, resistance to cracking, and good edge retention. Additionally, this steel is easy to sharpen, even in the field.

Full-Tang construction, stonewash finish

The blade is 130 mm long and 3.5 mm thick, has a Drop-Point shape, and a pronounced belly, enhancing the tool's cutting efficiency. The blade is finished with a high flat grind, which ensures optimal strength and good cutting properties.

On the spine, at the thumb rest, there is jimping (serration) that aids in controlling the blade during cutting. The blade surface is finished using the Stonewash method, making the blade more matte and scratches from use less visible.

Handle made of G10 laminate

The model has a Full-Tang construction, meaning the tang of the knife runs through the entire length of the handle. The ergonomically shaped scales are made from durable G10 laminate in black, providing a solid and secure grip. An indentation in the handle and a cross guard prevent the hand from slipping onto the blade, enhancing safety during use.

Kydex sheath included

The set includes a rigid sheath made of lightweight and damage-resistant Kydex material. Holes and slots on each side of the sheath allow for multi-positional attachment to gear. A loop on the back of the sheath allows for belt mounting.

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Za-Pas.

Za-Pas is a family-run knife manufactory from Poland, founded in 2016 by Daniel Pabis and his brothers. From the very beginning, the company has focused on creating durable, functional knives that are 100% manufactured in Poland – from design to finished product. Each piece is produced in small batches, with attention to detail. The offer includes outdoor, hunting and tactical knives, as well as accessories such as sheaths, whetstones and blades. Za-Pas is also responsible for special projects, such as the WZ.25 Grom knife, designed by Militaria.pl in cooperation with soldiers and outdoor enthusiasts.

O2 feature
O2
O2 is a medium carbon tool steel (approximately 0.9%) characterized by good hardness, abrasion resistance, and strength. Its carbon content ensures high hardness in the range of 58-60 HRC after appropriate heat treatment, which allows for a durable cutting edge. This steel also contains small amounts of manganese (0.3%) and silicon (0.2%), which improves its hardenability and structural stability. O2 is relatively easy to machine, making it a popular choice for the manufacture of cutting tools, industrial knives, files, and cutting tools. It is susceptible to corrosion and therefore requires proper maintenance and protection against rust. Due to its abrasive properties and hardness, O2 steel is mainly used in work tools that require wear resistance.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Kydex feature
Kydex
Kydex is a thermoplastic, durable material commonly used in the production of knife sheaths. It is resistant to impact, scratches, and changing weather conditions, and has very low moisture absorption. The sheaths are molded directly onto the knife, which guarantees a perfect fit, high durability, and complete safety—the blade remains securely in place even during dynamic movements. Due to its durability and customization options, Kydex has gained popularity in the tactical and survival industries. Sheaths are often equipped with additional mounting holes with metal eyelets, which increase their durability and allow for easy attachment of buckles, clips, or loops to a belt or harness.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
