One of the indispensable accessories for a compound bow is a trigger. It is a piece of equipment that guarantees the safe use of a compound bow. Using the trigger on the bow allows you to fire accurate and reliable shots, it also allows you to release the bowstring at the right moment. In addition, the trigger facilitates, drawing the bow string, transferring the point of force application. In most compound bows, it is necessary to use a trigger, as shooting without the use of a trigger system can even lead to damage to the equipment.

Bow triggers come in several types, including wrist triggers and "back tension" triggers also known as finger triggers. The most common type of bow triggers are wrist models. In this type of trigger, the striker is connected by a guide to the wrist band. When the string is tightened with a lever at the head, it is released. Finger triggers allow you to hook the trigger to the loop on the string and rest your fingers comfortably on the ergonomic grip, making it much easier to tension the string of a high-tension bow.

When selecting a trigger, the most important thing is to choose the distance of the trigger tongue from the finger, so that the user can use it comfortably. For this task, triggers equipped with an adjustment are ideal, so that the shooter can adjust the device to his individual needs. To work with triggers, it would be required that the string is equipped with a special loop that allows the trigger to be hooked to the string. You can make the loop yourself from a dedicated cord or purchase a ready-to-mount one made of aluminum.
