Perfect for snow. The hood is warm, even in a blizzard. The jacket does its job 100%. I personally tested it with a short sleeve shirt down to -15°C, and I think you could even risk it down to -20°C. I recommend it.
Alpha Industries Polar Jacket - Black
Extended-length jacket equipped with a deep hood in Black, offering outstanding thermal insulation in cold environments. Ideally suited for regions experiencing extreme weather conditions.
Durable material, synthetic insulation
Constructed with a tear-resistant dual-fabric blend (53% nylon, 47% polyester), the outer shell delivers excellent wind and moisture resistance. The lining utilizes abrasion-resistant nylon for added durability. Inside, the jacket incorporates synthetic insulation that provides reliable cold weather protection while maintaining superior breathability.
Main closure, storm flap
Equipped with a one-way zipper and covered by a large-button storm flap, the jacket offers enhanced thermal insulation and reliable protection from strong winds. The flap is engineered to shield the zipper from dust, frozen water, or snow, preventing jams in harsh conditions.
7 spacious pockets
The Polar Jacket comes equipped with two large belly pockets secured by snap buttons, two zippered chest pockets, a dedicated zippered pocket for documents, and a zippered pocket on the sleeve. For smaller essentials, a discreet interior pocket is also integrated.
Insulated hood, elastic cuffs, internal drawcord
Synthetic fur lining within the hood and a removable fur trim safeguard the head and face from wind, cold, and precipitation. Partially concealed elastic cuffs prevent cold air from penetrating the sleeves, enhancing insulation and warmth. With an internal waist drawcord, the fit of the jacket can be tailored to the wearer’s body. Embroidered patches are affixed to each shoulder.

This is the second Alpha jacket I've bought and once again, I've been convinced that this company does not accept compromises! Excellent craftsmanship, you can see and feel that the material used for this jacket is solid and will last for years. It seems to be waterproof, but to be sure, I treated the jacket with a water repellent 😉. So far, I've tested it at -10°C with strong wind and it performed its task 1,000,000%—I was only wearing a cotton t-shirt under it and didn't feel cold, though I should note that I'm not particularly sensitive to the cold! The pockets are nicely arranged, although for me, the two on the chest could be bigger. The hood protects the head well, even when it's not fully worn (it covers over 50%). Shipping? I don't know how it's possible, but I ordered the jacket in the evening and the next day at noon it was ready for pick-up from the parcel locker 🥇. Both the jacket and the store are definitely worth recommending❗️

Great jacket for freezing days. It can handle down to -16 with a light fleece underneath. For me the only "minus" is the excess of logos all over the jacket, but it's manageable.
-
Good quality workmanship, but poor appearance. There are no fasteners inside the pockets for a wallet or phone. Too many visible logos and patches make the jacket look a bit tacky. The fur collar does not fulfill its function, as when attached it restricts visibility. Overall, I feel disappointed.

Perfect for snow. Warm hood, even in a blizzard. The jacket fulfills its role 100%. I personally tested it with a short sleeve down to -15 degrees and I think you can even risk it down to -20. I recommend it.

Excellent jacket! I'm about 186 cm tall with a chest around 108 cm. Size L fits perfectly—even with a light fleece or sweater underneath. This is a jacket for normal winter weather, or for sharp cold in spring and autumn. For an arctic winter, I have a classic, roomy XL Alpha type NB 3. Both are fantastic—and they are indispensable in the period from October to April. This color (which is more vibrant green than in the photo) is a feast for the eyes! :)

Great jacket, large, down-filled, toasty warm. Perfect for winter, even in very severe frost. Also, a nice hood with fur, which is very helpful when it’s snowing, stopping snow from getting into your eyes.
-
I've been using it for two seasons already and I'm still totally satisfied. Classic, warm, functional. Plus, you can detach the "fur," and the external pocket on the left chest is just super functional—for me, it was the deciding factor.
-
I own it and I recommend it—comfortable, warm, and very well made—worth its price.
-
The jacket is fantastic, I love it, and it's worth its price. Very warm and pleasant, plus it looks great :D
-
Top-quality jacket. Comfortable, capacious, and stylish. The hood is huge, but also so warm and cozy—perfect for windy and cold days.
-
It took me a long time to save up for this jacket, but from what I see, it's worth every penny. As for the workmanship, everything is as it should be. It's warm, but I haven't had a chance to test it at -20°C yet, though at -10°C I can say it does its job. The only thing missing in this model is a drawstring to adjust the hood, which exists in the Explorer model but not in my POLAR. Sometimes, when I’m not wearing a hat, the hood tends to slip over my eyes.
-
Accustomed to AI sizing, I bought an M, which turned out to be too small (the jacket was tight and restricted movement). Size L seems much bigger, but it's super comfortable. The downside is the huge hood and the fur, which comes down over the eyes. The material is thick and strong. Similar to the Explorer model, which I had a chance to wear. I recommend it.
-
Quality in itself. Warm, comfortable, excellently made. I recommend it.
