The contents of the can are just okay when cold. After heating—it’s heaven in your mouth. I added the spiciest of the popular sauces starting with T and... it turned out to be an excellent goulash for Hungarian-style potato pancakes. So I ordered a second can. And this is exactly the military meat preserve called "Małpa". Juicy beef, well seasoned, suitable for eating both cold and hot. The one eaten in the military, as far as I remember, was covered in lard but the taste is the same after years. The can doesn’t have a built-in opener so it’s a bit harder to get inside. But thanks to this solution, it can be stored much longer than the date on the can. I recommend it.

The can in the picture doesn’t have a self-opener, the one I received does. I know such canned foods should be opened with a bayonet or a multipurpose tool, but for me that's a plus. As for the meat, I think that 'monkey' I ate 30 years ago from the Polish Army’s non-perishable rations during exercises in Świętoszów was, according to the original, from beef. I recommend it.
