In this price range, this sniper rifle definitely outclasses the competition. It's great for fun, for a beginner airsoft sniper, and as a base for tuning. Fairly accurate and well-made. The outer and, of course, inner barrels are metal. The stock and butt are made of plastic, and apart from the visible seam where the two halves meet, it's really good. Nothing creaks, nothing bends, the plastic is pleasant to the touch, matte, and after adding a scope and bipod, the whole thing has a really reasonable weight. The trigger and safety work smoothly and very pleasantly, and so does the 4-stroke bolt.
ASG M40A3 McMillan Sniper Rifle
Spring-powered replica of the sniper rifle McMillan M40A3, as deployed by the US Marine Corps. Featuring a construction that combines metal and plastic, the handguard is crafted from plastic, while the barrel and bolt mechanism are made of metal. The handguard is also fitted with an adjustable cheek pad.
Adjustable stock, mounting rails
Located above the bolt, a 22 mm RIS standard mounting rail enables the attachment of various optical or optoelectronic sights. An additional RIS rail is positioned at the end of the handguard, beneath the barrel, providing a mounting point for accessories such as a bipod or laser sight. Stock length can be customized by adjusting the number of spacers inserted.
Adjustable Hop-Up system
Rotating bolt ensures exceptionally smooth handling, even while compressing a spring that delivers an initial velocity of 449 FPS. The combination of an extended barrel and an adjustable Hop-Up system provides reliable accuracy, making it suitable for both novice and experienced snipers.
Fast and quiet mechanism
Thanks to the rotating bolt system, follow-up shots can be taken swiftly and, crucially, with minimal noise, a level of stealth electric rifles are unable to match.
Equipped with a Low-Cap magazine, the rifle holds a total of 27 BBs.

The replica is solidly made, you can feel the weight, and with the scope, the whole thing is very stable. The RIS mounting rail is a big plus. It’s spring-powered, so you don’t need chargers or anything like that, and you won’t run out of gas either, which is a big advantage for me. Everything at an attractive price. 10/10.

This replica has an amazing range. Well-thought-out hop-up and magazine. Good build quality. With 0.43 pellets, it reaches 80 meters. The safety is in the best place. For this price, I RECOMMEND!!!
-
Very cool equipment, very accurate, I recommend shooting 0.30 BBs, the slide and trigger work nicely. Even though the replica has 450 FPS, you can easily shoot a can from 40 meters after adjusting the hop-up.

Let me put it this way about this sniper rifle: it's not worth buying if you want a powerful one for long range, because with 0.36g BBs you get 1.75 joules and the BB will only fly 40-50m, since the original parts are leaky and made of plastic—fantastic. For the money, it’s better to buy the SSG10 A1 Airsoft Sniper Rifle, which is already tuned to 2.8 joules with 0.46g BBs. With the M40A3 McMillan sniper that I bought, I went to the field and started shooting at a guy, and the BB didn't even reach 55m in the forest—it's a disaster and totally inaccurate. That’s why I tuned it up. Overall, including the sniper, I spent about 1200 PLN and I regret it. On top of that, now I have a problem finding a hop-up rubber, because the parts are all sorts—mainly M24 and L96, and the chamber I think is a VSR10, but specific or a different one, and I probably need to replace this too, another 250 PLN.

Mega cool sniper rifle for recreational shooting. Of course, a scope is almost essential because there's no front or rear sight as in the real firearm. Overall, the replica is made properly. There are some minor gaps between the stock and the barrel and visible plastic joints, but nothing creaks and everything works smoothly. I recommend 0.36g BBs or heavier so the wind doesn't affect the flight.

Let me say, it's an awesome sniper after repainting, but a good base for tuning and for sure the piston has to be changed, because it's a disaster—it's plastic and on the chrono with 0.36g BBs I get 1.75 joules. For a start, I recommend it since I’m a new sniper, but I wouldn’t advise going into the arena without a scope—it just doesn’t make sense.

I started my adventure with airsoft sniper rifles with this replica. It is a very good choice for beginners. You can shoot at quite reasonable distances without any upgrades, and if you want to improve something, it becomes a really nice replica. The bolt action is pleasant, and the magazine holds a lot of BBs for a sniper rifle. At this price, it's hard to find anything better. The possibility of extending the stock with kit elements is also a plus. Overall, a great replica to start with.
-
Nice piece of equipment, but it's rather a rifle for tuning. I wouldn't recommend it to beginners because it's easy to get discouraged from the whole game by starting with a "Sniper". Pros: - Fits well - Good base for upgrades - Doesn't creak (quite a surprise at this price) Cons: - Not very accurate out of the box - The M40-style grip might not appeal to everyone PS: I recently bought an electric (also a sniper) for twice as much and the only thing I want is next time to take this one (M40A3 McMillan) to a skirmish...
-
I recommend this gun because it's FUN to shoot with it, but if you're looking for something for long distances and accuracy, I'd suggest buying an air rifle for about the same price.
-
This is my first ASG, the M40A3 McMillan is a bullseye. Great sniper, I recommend it to both beginners and experienced users. Everything works smoothly, it's ok.
-
The magazine didn't work properly from the beginning and after some time, it got completely jammed. The replica itself seems to be well made, but unfortunately, the faulty magazine ruined my plans for the whole weekend.
-
I'm not very familiar with ASG but the gun seems very good to me. I use it for target shooting, it has good range and lots of FPS.
-
I have this sniper rifle and I really recommend it. It's easy to hit moving targets and also easy to adjust the HOP UP since it's exposed. The rifle itself is very accurate and has a long range. But when shooting in the forest, be careful because the hop up can be altered by, for example, a branch.
-
Good replica for target shooting. For ASG you should definitely invest in some tuning, for example: change the barrel and use heavier BBs, at least 0.28g.
