Well... made from good material, handy. If you assemble it well, it's quite sturdy. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem resistant to frequent use (deformation). If I had to work with it constantly... but what do you expect for this price. Generally, it's okay.

The entrenching tool fulfills its basic function. The folding design saves space in the backpack, but I miss some basic cover for it. The fit of the entrenching tool parts leaves much to be desired, as it rattles and can loosen after a bit of digging. The tool is riveted, so in the event of a rivet breaking it is impossible to repair immediately; a screw with a nut would have been much better. At this price, we can say it fulfills its function, but it is not without flaws.
-
A very solid shovel for its price, it's strong, locks well, and has no play when digging. It folds down to a small size, so it easily fits in a backpack. It's reliable both in the field and when searching with a metal detector. Good, durable equipment.
-
The Badger Outdoor folding shovel is a solid tool that works well for digging and moving soil. The only downside is that when folded, you can hear it rattle while carrying it.
-
Solidly made and very practical. When folded, it takes up little space, and when in use, it is stable and durable. Perfect for camping, the car, or outdoors—always useful.
-
The entrenching tool has several advantages and one serious flaw. Pros: compactness, quick folding/unfolding, the shovel is fairly sharp (handles roots in the ground with a bit of force) and fits well in hand when digging or carrying short distances. However, the attachment of the shovel to the first hinge is terrible. It's 2 rivets and the blade is narrow at the hinge, so with each digging session the shovel gets more and more misaligned with the handle and the connection gets weaker. I had it on 4-5 all-day trips and it managed, hasn't broken yet, and will serve me for a long time, but it would last even longer with a different attachment.

Recent purchase. I haven’t tested in the field yet, but played with it dry and found at least 4 possible tool arrangements, which gives a lot of uses. Cool flat spike, almost like a bayonet. It'll definitely come in handy in the car or on a trip. Not too light, I’d reconsider taking it in a backpack.
-
Let me put it this way—for the car, to dig yourself out of a snowdrift in winter, it's fine. Light, takes up no space when folded, quick to set up. But in terms of quality, it's terrible. Loosens, falls apart quickly. I think it would break instantly in real soil.
-
For this price it’s okay. But the quality leaves a bit to be desired—bends quickly, and the paint comes off a lot with harder work. The advantages are its compactness and the pickaxe. I recommend it to everyone when on sale.
-
Decent entrenching tool. After a month of use, I noticed only one downside: -Paint wearing off (especially from the blade), The advantages include: +The presence of a "pick," useful for breaking up harder ground, +A fairly decent saw. In summary, I recommend it.
-
A useful thing for little money. Plus—the spade works in three modes: small pickaxe, 90 degrees, and shovel. The fastening could be better. Perfect for simple tasks, worth having it in the car.
-
The shovel is okay. It will do for digging a wheel out of mud or snow, but there is play in the joints, and the paint comes off quickly with use. If you use it in sand, the mechanism may get slightly clogged, making everything grind.
-
Cheap, lightweight, small spade. For carrying in the car or occasional use outdoors it's OK. However, for regular use I would look for something “stronger.”
-
Very nice spade. Relatively cheap, lightweight. Takes up little space when folded and is handy. Good for the car in winter and for trips into the outdoors.
-
Brilliant tool, perfect for camping or fishing. Useful for securing a campfire, but also for making a latrine. Very nice that it can be folded into a very small item.
